Phoenix Hwy 51

One week ago , I was on this high way and I swear , someone threw a medal bar , re-bar from a pedestrian bridge at me.
It came within 15 feet from me.
I could not hear it hit the ground , so , not sure it was steel or what .

Anyone ever have this happen to ya , anywhere ??

More and more of these scary things seem to be happening and it makes me cringe every time I go under an overpass . Also there is an increasing amount of debris on the highways these days which can shoot out from a tire and get you.

However this is a good reminder to not only look forward, backward, and side-to-side...now we also need to look UP when going under bridges!

It is a crazy world out there...

Once, while riding west on the 91 freeway and I swear the guy in front of me intentionally ran over a 1/2"X2'X2' piece of plate, trying to get it airborn. Well, he did, it bounced of the tupperware just behind and to the left of the front fender and glanced off of the toe of my boot. There is a large (12" long) area that has some very heavy gouges. Now I always watch what other people are driving over also. I am glad the plate didn't get more airborn.
