Are you up for a tour of some of the best roads in Eastern Ontario?
I have the Pickerel Park Lodge booked for Friday and Saturday nights at a cost of $555.00CDN and it sleeps 20 people so if we can fill this place it will cost less than $30 a person for the weekend.
I have several routes planned (which I will post later)in varying lengths to accomodate all preferences. There will be a BBQ supper Fri night at the lodge , a group lunch in Maynooth and a group BBQ at the Lodge Sat night.
The lodge bedrooms are taken as follows:
#1 TZMNDVL and wife
#2 Bones and Eddie
#3 CTYankee and Thane
#4 SteveST1300 , BlueSTormer and AGStreak
#5 Chris and Sam
#6 Janman and brother
#7 pgreen94, kawcatcher, RTR, MileEater, SarniaON
Camping on the Lodge grounds : 1 - Motomac

Attached are some of the planned routes for OnSTOC in S&T format
15414
15415
15416
There will be some minor changes to these routes once I get out to preride them.
I will try and include Peterson Rd as well but it still shows a dead end on S&T for some strange reason.

Yes! Count me in, and consider me a single for accomodation purposes. Looking forward to the company of those folks sensible enough to acquire an ST! There are some great roads in eastern Ontario. "The county" is special to me cause its my old stompin grounds from high school days, many decades ago. Napanee is where I was first alerted by a LEO to the new law requiring helmets. Sept 1, ?? Although my buddie and I had them, the girls we had picked up didn't. ....Hurry up, summer!

I'm intending to be there, just don't know which day I'll arrive. I'll book my own accomodation. If the folks from London, Niagara, Mississauga want to do a scenic ride on a slight northerly route from the west side of TO on Thursday or Friday, I'll put together a route (if feasible). I would like to do the Prince Edward County ride on Friday also, but that might be a bit much for one day.

Carolyn and I had really wanted to join y'all for OnSTOC (I have witnesses that she said yes). Unfortunately, her father (in his 70's) is getting a hip replacement and it's been bumped to the second week of August. So, we'll be in Florida helping around the house post-surgery.
Please send him good energy and hopefully we'll make it next year!

The plan at this point is to have a BBQ at the lodge for Friday's supper after everyone arrives. Possibly we could do a short county ride Friday evening depending on how everyone feels or just socialize around the campfire and rest our butts.
The Saturday ride is around 600kms (400miles) and we will be departing around 7:30-8:00AM after coffee and a muffin at the lodge. We will be stopping along the route for breakfast at a restaurant around 9:00AM or so and for lunch around 1:00PM. There will also be plenty of stops for pictures and washroom use. We are aiming to get back to the lodge around 6:00PM when we can order some takeout pizza, chicken etc for supper. On Sunday we are planning a real Canadian breakfast with peameal backbacon and the trimmings at the Lodge so that you guys don't get hungry heading home.
If you want to ride further on Saturday, there are additional loops that can be added and if you feel that 600kms is too long, there are some shortcuts as well. I will have maps for everyone with the routes marked out.

We have 15 at the lodge now and I need some finances to cover the cost of $555.00CDN for the two nights which works out to the bargain price of
$37CDN per person for the accomodations for the weekend.
It would be great if you could each mail me a cheque in Canadian funds to cover your share by the end of the month. Please mail it to Chris McKnight at 34 Alfred Street, Napanee, ON, Canada K7R3J1 and I will mark you off as paid as soon as I receive it.
We will be having BBQ'd Burgers and sausage, side salads and dessert Friday night at the Lodge and BBQ'd pork chops, corn on the cob, baked potato and dessert Sat night after the ride. There will also be a real Canadian breakfast at the lodge Sunday morning if enough people are interested. The cost for food and beverages should be about $40 a person which we will sort out after everyone arrives. Anesthetic is not included in these prices:D
I need to know how many people are having the meals at the Lodge so that we get enough food. I will assume that everyone staying at the lodge is in on the meals but I need to know from all the others ASAP.
Sam and I are heading out tomorrow to check out a lunch spot for the Sat. ride and we will report when we find a good one.

Hi Chris. Put me on the meal plan too. If you need some funds before hand, I'll either send to you or email them to you. As you know, I'll be staying at my friends in Kingston. I plan on leaving early Friday to get to Kingston. I might come down for the Friday night meal to meet everyone, but more than likely come early on Saturday morning for breakfast and the ride. I might stay for the Saturday meal, but not sure. In any event, I will pay my way for all the meals, no problem, since I might be there for all of them!
Looks like it will be an great event and thank you for all the effort that you are putting into it. You've started something now!!!! :)

Sam and I found a great breakfast spot for Sat morning right on the south side of #33 hwy just east of Millhaven Rd about 15 mins from the lodge. It is also a gas station so you can fuel up the bike as well.

Hi Chris. I was trying to find out the breakfast spot in case I didn't get to the campgrounds in time, and I was having difficulty. I went to google but it didn't appear that Millhaven Rd and Hwy 33 intersected. Here's my link. I would guess, also, that breakfast would be around 8:00 a.m. since it's so close to the campgrounds and you are thinking of leaving around 7:30 a.m.

We are shooting to be there for breakfast at 08:00 so it would be a good spot for you to meet up with the group. I looked at Googlemaps and Millhaven Rd is labelled county rd 4 ( it used to called Hwy133 also). The restaurant/gas station is just east of the intersection of county rd#4 and hwy#33 on the south side of the road. Hope to see you there. Once we get out for a pre-ride, we will mark the gps locations for the breakfast and dinner spots on the final route file.

Can sombody tell me where exactly this OnSTOC is . I have been checking out the ST-owners. web site and It isn't real clear to me where this gathering is and what's happening at this get together. oh by the way what do the letter OnSTOC stand for. My 1st guess is ON = Onterio, ST = Honda ST, OC = ? I have seen these listings scattered through out the site but I don't know what they stand for. is it a ralley for ST owners ?

Basically it is a fun ride/rally/get together for Honda ST owners but we do not turn away riders of other makes. You got the Ontario and the ST parts right but the OC stands for Owners Club. STOC events are held in many different parts of the country and are always lots of fun and you will meet a lot of great people at them. Location for this event is Napanee, Ontario about two hours east of Toronto.

Chris... whats the weather been up there lately? Mesh jacket weather or leathers?...
.... as for radar detectors.. I know I can't use one in Canada but hate like heck to not use one in the states. If I have the detector in my side bag is there the likely hood it can be taken at the border?... I'm trying to decide whether or not to risk losing my equalizer.
See you all in a few days....

Weather forecast is warm for this weekend so I would say mesh would be best at this point. I will keep an eye on the forecast and update early next week in case cooler weather comes our way. Eddie , I would think the radar detector would be OK if it is switched off and in your side bag.

Hi Barry
I have some pics. UR right, it was a fanatastic trip.
Maybe I could figure out a ride report. It'll be a few days tho' before that happens. In the a.m. I'm headed to the cottage on the ST (Muskoka - only about 4 hours - but I've been known to stretch it).
My lovely "1st wife" - (she just loves it (not!) when I introduce her that way -but I feel accuracy is important :)), & the kids, whom I'm hopeful will remember me:rolleyes:, are all there. Its been a few weeks without family contact and I'm eager to see the gang - on several different levels ;-) .
At the cottage I get to trade my bike for any number of boats and the opportunity to gas them up @ twice the price. Yee haw!
On to ONSTOC another year for me. Good-on the guys for getting this event together. Sounds like much fun.
