I've been looking at boots and think I have settled on Alpinestar Ridge boots.
Just wondered if anyone here had them and how they liked them. From what I read on the New Enough site they appear to have pretty good protection.

I have a pair of these that I use all the time. They hold up good and are waterproof. Be sure to try them on before you purchase, the sizes run to the large side of the scale. I had to add inner soles to make them fit ok after mail ordering my proper size.

Thanks Tom,
Iron Pony Motorsports is about 2 hours from me. I think they have them in stock. If it ever gets warm here again I'll run up and try some on. Thanks.

I don't have the Ridge model, but I do have a pair of Alpinestar Gore-tex waterproof boots. They helped me survive an accident, although I did have to have them slightly repaired afterward. They are very comfortable and a quality boot. I don't wear them as much now since I got a pair of Sidi's, but I like them just almost as much. The Alpinestars I sort of reserve for wet days, since they come up a bit higher than my Sidi's.
Both are very good boots in my book.

I have a pair of the Alpinestar EFFEX boot.. One up from the WEB model and I like them ALOT.. (these ones seem to be a little wider so fit nicer and they have the full leather uppers.

+ 1 on the effex.. I'm going on my third year with them and love them. For a summer boot I just bought a pair of tour master response boots. Waterproof and low cut so your legs don't get all sweaty in hotter weather.

Well I got these last night. I put them on, walked up 6 steps, across the living room and into the garage to then out to the bike. Seemed that shifting was going to be a bit more of a challenge than before but they felt ok while in my normal riding position. I got off and walked back to where I started. By the time I got back downstairs the fronts of my shins were both practically rubbed raw through a pair of socks. I am going to have to try several types on before I buy another pair. My fault for not doing that in the first place I guess.
