I don't like it...not now ..not ever!

I hope no one suggests that it will "grow on you". Carbuncles grow on you but you could never say that you'd like it! ;)

Yeah, I saw this at the beemer board (still visit sometimes) and it is butt ugly no two ways about it ... the older RT11 was a nice looking bike, but you have to wonder, where is BMW going with this ? ... :-(

Why do all the new bikes *have* to look like the Mantra ?

Is it just me, or does it appear that the rider sits farther back than
one would on the 1300?? Looks like more of the rear wheel is under him.. Might just be an optical delusion..

I am puzzled why RT to ST price difference in US is about $3K (ST being less) and in Europe is almost opposite. I asked this question a BMW Marketing fellow during the Motorcycle Show in Seattle and he concluded that it must be a weak dollar; I think he did not get my question or he did not want to answer. So, is brand so important in US and BMW pricing strategy reflects that trend?

George,

The price difference is due to tariffs and duties on imports into the Eurozone. Exchange rates do have an effect, but the European tariffs are massive.
