Should the next gen ST have an air cooled engine? That would solve the thermostat issue as well as the leaky hose clamp issue.

Now are we talkin' a pushrod air cooled engine here? Eliminate those pesky bucket and shim adjustments?

I thought it was air-cooled? Cold air is forced through the radiator and, viola!, the bike is cooled. That water thingie just makes the heat transfer more efficient, costs more, and is another thing to check once a year. :D

Not going to happen. VW had to finally abandon the air cooled engine because of smog controls. Air cooled engines cannot maintain such even engine temperatures as liquid cooled engines.

V4 engine with electrohydraulic valve actuation, and burning a chemically stabilized hydrogen peroxide motor fuel.
Since that would run cooler, cooling is just an oil cooler in place of radiator.
Yeah. :)
