POI Sub Forum Created

With the popularity of the zumo and other GPS units that support Point Of Interest loading I've created this sub-forum so you can post your POIs or reference to others.

I plan on creating one for all STOC events and keeping it updated so you'll always know where they are, just in case.

I already have one for honda dealers, bmw dealers and MC camping/cabin spots.

Maybe this will take off, maybe not but lets see how it goes.

For those of us who have seen the light :D Garmin nows has a Mac version (Beta) of the POI loader software available Here (http://www8.garmin.com/support/collection.jsp?product=999-99999-12) All usual disclaimers apply.

Whilst this may not be pertinent for the US. Check out the following site: http://checkpoint.oabsoftware.nl/ for a great POI share should you desire coming to this side of the pond for a ride about.

It covers speeed cameras, petrol stns, supermarkets, resturants, and you name it. Be carfeul not to have too many on the go as it slows the GPS down.

It also allows you to upload POIs and new speed cameras, etc.

If you intend comming to this side of the water to visit Euro Land and have a ride, a useful POI share facility is at - http://checkpoint.oabsoftware.nl/

It's free to all good homes, has shed loads to use and includes speed! I mean Safety Camera DBase for a few countries. Don't enable too many POI types though as it will slow your device down trying to cope. Be discerning and its superb.
