Got back around noon. Good event, food, friends and a great area to ride.

Someone had an accident on the way to the event, I don't know his full name or if he's an official member here but he apparently broke his scapula and ankle but is okay other than that. Hope he heals fast.

Here (http://www.st-owners.com/pp_gallery/showgallery.php?cat=533)are the rest of my pictures.

Got home around 2 p.m. Went to Moonshine first, then through Kentucky to Virginia and down to Campstoc. 2395 miles. Lots of good roads, good people and really really good food. Very nice trip!!

Back @ 2:30 central... 994 on the trip meter... Had a blast!!!
It sure did hone my skills.... No less than three road kills in my line on a curve (two left, one right) that I had to adjust mid-turn.... I'm sure I LOOKED like I knew what I was doing... Didn't hit any of them... Woo Hoo!!! When we getting together again???? Thanks, Mellow!!! :yr1:
P.S. Will have pictures back soon and will post the stories from the return trip...

Here's a few pics of the unusual suspects..:)

I rode with ChipSTer on his two planned routes both Friday and Saturday.

Great group of guys I really enjoyed the rides and the socializing.

If you've never made it to an ST meet...you gotta go!

Rolled in about 4:30pm from B'ham. After the races yesterday, Tom and I camped at Tannehill State park and went our separate ways this morning.

My total mileage was 1600 or 1700 miles, whatever. When I get a gps, I'll try to be more precise. Peanuts for some of you guys, geez! Who came the farthest?

I really enjoyed the rides (thanks to ChipSTer) and BSing around the campfire. Next time I know where to find the food.

I find it really amazing that this bunch of nuts lead successful and productive lives (outside of ST-ing) :D
Where are we going next?

Back home Monday evening about 8pm. Left Cloudland Canyon Sunday morning to have a final breakfast with Terry, Dan & George, before we all peeled off for our separate roads. I had no real destination in mind for where I would camp that night, other than a vague thought to try to find Willville Motorcycle Camp. North out of Chattanooga I took all superslab to Virginia and took state road 58 fro I-81 all though the southern side of VA. Great road! Made it to Willville before sundown and enjoyed a great campfire with a bunch of BMW riders and one lone Harley guy (who was cold with a fairing!).

The last day of riding was to be the farthest in one day- 600 miles to home. More state roads in VA up to Roanoke, then it was time to fly! I-81 north, and burnin' the wind! Made it to within 60 miles of home when the skies opened up... I did need all those Tennesee bugs off my windshield! I did need to pull off the slab and wait out the quick storm, a approx. 20 mile gust attempted to blow me off the road for a little while. Waited for about 15 minutes under an Exxon roof for the blow to go by, then home to a pair of happy Yorkies and a smiling wife!

I truly enjoyed meeting all of you. I look forward to meeting up with everyone again! Great ride Chip! (even the "W" road).

It looks like it was a lot of fun!!

Good to hear that there was only one serious accident and that one may not have been too bad. Always good news.

I believe the injured rider to be Bill Linden "AKA Snowman" and rode with us last year at UPSTOC in Upper Michigan. A very nice guy... older though... so Bill, here's hoping you heal quickly and make it to Dannyk's place again this year! Group pic attached...

I took the long way! ;^)

Dave, I use Yahoo Photos, and when you compose an Album, the default is to make it private... which you did. Now you have to go to "edit" and "make album public" so you can share with us!

I promised pics (http://www.webshots.com/user/georgecatt). Look at the Spring Trip 2007 album. There's a bunch more albums there as well.

This album has the full trip, including some family pics, MoonSTOC, CampSTOC, San Antonio, and S.E. Arizona. Text is included so plan on an extra hour to enjoy the whole thing. ;^)

This is the same album I liSTed in my full ride report and on the MoonShine thread so if you've already seen it, don't bother looking again (unless ya just like my shots. ;^)

George;
I didn't know you were coming thru Lousyana. I'd kept you company for a few miles.

I'll have to ask next time.

Nice pic essay. I wonder how you cover so many miles and still take so many pictures.

Wow, it looks like you folks had a great time and great weather. I started out Wednesday morning from Missouri and got to Cordin, Indiana, the first day. Then, I stopped in the next morning and visited a friend in Lexington, Kentucky. He pulled up the weather report for Virginia, and it said severe rain storms and wind for the next three days. I chickened out and left Lexington for home. After seeing those pictures and all of the sunshine, I KNOW I screwed up going home. I went west in a torrential downpour for over 4 hours. I finally checked into a hotel in Mt. Vernon, Illinois and stayed there overnight. After 4 hours in a nasty rain, I was soaked head to toe through my Gore Tex rain suit. Yep, I should have kept going east!
