I went to the Humberside bike safe meeting yesterday. Good day, pretty well attended, met some nice folks, one guy I hadn't seen since the early 80's who rode in the same bike club as me back then. I got the opportunity to have a short ride out with a police officer following me to asses my riding. When we got back I was told that there was no real problems with my riding, but my brake light mod was illegal. I have fitted a pair of four led pulse lights in to the system just above the reg plate, hopefully to let the tail gaters know I'm slowing down.
Oh well, I suppose my card is marked in Humberside now, no problems though I just wont slow down in Humberside...;)

I saw you !!!

On the B hm... 1230? And I'm 99% I saw YOU :D

Unfortunately we were in the car attending a family function in Hull. You had great weather for it and you were all making me really miss the bike lol. I did a Bike Safe day a couple of years ago. That was what got me interested in developing further skills. I'd do another one now just for the experience and fun. There's something unnervingly odd about being chased by a motorcycle cop legally lol.

Hi alphafang (Paul) I'm a civillian observer with our local bikesafe and this one is run differently to some of the others. Ours is over a weekend Saturday morning with the classroom presentation, Saturday afternoon on the road trying and practising the theory with an observer, and the Sunday all day with an observer (Usually the same one) polishing techniques on the road in practical situations. The amount of aprehensive riders who arrive on Saturday and leave on Sunday with huge grins is very satisfing to see.
