Hey All,
I'm kinda new to the ST's. Just got an '04 and have noticed some antifreeze, just a few small drops coming from somewhere and drying on the right-side head cover and fairing. Is this common? I don't seem to be losing antifreeze at a noticeable rate, bu a few drops are showing up on my fairing once in a while... Your toughts?
Thanks,
Steve

Steve,

You probably have a loose hose clamp. Everything you always wanted to know about Coolant leaks: (http://www.**********.com/stf/showthread.php?t=73)

BTW... you will probably need to register in order to download the document. Fear not, it is well worth the effort!

Keep us posted in your findings. Good luck.

I had that happen to my 1100 a couple of weeks ago, and turned out it was the overflow hose, split right at the point it attaches to the radiator.

I don't remember what year bike you have...
If it is under warranty take it back to Honda...

The coolant leak hits again!

I had the same issue with my 03 st. Loose clamps at many places, changed the stat, flushed the rad and the reservoir, did a bunch of thing while the fairing was apart. All the info is here. There is a neat diagram showing all the clamps locations. Don't miss the ones behind the stat. Thanks to all for the infos.

If you have a warranty, great, but you may have to do it all over again. I did it myself and I'm sure it's done righ. (I hope LOL)

If it's on the right side there is a "T" junction near the vent in the side of the fairing. There are 3 hose clamps there. Check those first. My guess is that they are loose.

I had the same thing happen after I had replaced the thermostat. Discovered what I had done when I put everything back together was to shove the overflow hose too far up on the overflow pipe and when the bike got into operating temp it would spray a fine stream out of the hose. Moved to hose back to its proper location and no problems since.
