Yes, the dealers can now order FJR1300's for dealer stock, it is no longer special order only. This one was a Yamaha FJR1300AE with that paddle shifter setup, not clutch. Loved the FJR in person. A few observations:
• Styling is quite sharp, I prefer it to the ST
• The bike is a bit smaller, lighter as you all know
• The windscreen looks terribly indadequate compared to the ST's, hence the complaints about wind protection compared to the ST by many who have ridden both
• The paddle shifter setup is pretty silly - it seems to me that anyone who wants a $15K 600lb motorcycle is willing to learn how to shift, and if they don't, they can buy a Burgman or one of the other oversized super-mopeds that motorcycle dealers carry these days. I would never want to give up the additional conrol the clutch gives me over the powertrain.
So I'll stick with my ST that just turned 3 the other day and 9100 miles. Loving the bike more every day. And now it's farkled to the gills the way I want it AND paid for.
