This is the first time I've posted a new thread at this site. I've reviewed it often and use the opinions posted by all contributors to make my decisions when buying improvements for my 2004 ABS. Thanks to all! :)
In Eastern Iowa, the deer are big and plentiful. I can only ride with my high beams for a few minutes before I need to dim for oncoming traffic. That's just the time one of those big fat cornfed deer jumps out of the ditch.
I've read the posts on this site and others concerning auxiliary lighting, but I've not yet found one that deals in detail with this situation.
I'd like to light up the ditches but have some distance also. I'm thinking that I need a wide beam light that has some depth so I can ride with low beams on at 60 mph, see a deer, and have a chance to slow down.
Is there such a thing? I want to buy the lights and the brackets. I could possibly fabricate the brackets, but I'd rather buy them. Please give me some advice. Thanks, Terry
