I just put on my pan-european topbox today and it is awesome. It was a christmas present from my wife. She is the best. The fit and finish on the topbox is great.

She also got me a 3/8 drive snap-on torque wrench which I used (it is a sweet tool).

What tank bag are you using?

I guess I jumped on the Givi a little quick but honestly I don't know if one is really better than the other.

Thanks for the pictures and I'm jealous of the barn size garage too.

ssls6, i'm trying to install my top box. the instructions indicate to reuse the "collors" (page 5). when I reuse the existing collars with the new collars (item 13) as per the sketch, I can not tighten the carrier bracket down snug. I think I'm not going to "reuse" those four collars. any advise?

I covet your garage. A lot.

Skip the bike, more garage pics, please! :)

Why the 4-post car lift instead of an asymetrical arm type lift? You "seem" to have enough "space" that a 4-post isn't necessary.

I am going to see if I can find the instructions.

But if I recall the request to keep and reuse is if you decided to remove the top box and fittings and return the carrier to original at some future date.

You must reuse the collars for the installation to be correct. What the instructions don't say is to reuse the black tail rack cover as well.

The collars go under the black plastic honda tail rack cover. The new collars included with the topbox go on top of the black plastic honda tail rack cover.

Hope this helps.

I prefer 4-post lifts over arm lifts. I also like the flexability of moving the lift.

I found the instructions...if it says "save" then keep for returning rack to original and if it says "reuse" then you have to reuse NOW!

ssls6 is right!!

Bike looks great!! As long as the post is deviating all over the place...LOL....How do you like the mirror deflectors??? Do they help significantly with keeping hands warm/out of the wind ?????
Thanks

The mirror deflectors are great. I'm no too happy with the fairing deflectors. IMHO, they make it hotter in the saddle not cooler.

If they're (the fairing deflectors) are making it hotter in the saddle then they are doing the job of keeping the cold air away from you :D
