I am looking for a pair of summer boots that provide good protection, do not use laces, and I can walk in them. Water proofing is not important.

Suggestions?

I just bought some Fieldsheer Ace boots and so far really like them. They don't have laces but have not worn them in the 90-100's yet so can't comment on how they will perform in the heat. They perform awesome in the winter do that might be a clue that i'm going to cook my toes in the summer.

Tourmaster WP Solution boots, ~$110 delivered to your door :) I had Oxtar Matrix, but they got a little expensive for my taste... these seem to be as comfortable for daylong wear. :bow1:

Do these run true to size, or do they run big or small? Just trying to save postage back if I can.
Thanks

They run true to size... they are snug at first, but break in pretty quick :)

Got 'em. Have had a few rides with them. Pretty comfortable right out of the box, BUT they are hot. First street motorcycle boot I've ever had. Can't wait for cooler weather.

I have been wearing Cruiserworks riding boots (http://www.cruiserworks.com/) for about 7 or 8 years. The same pair, summer or winter. That's about 100k miles worth of riding and lots of walking in them as well because they are comfortable walk in as well.

Great boots.

On Alicia's recommendation I bought a pair for Chris.
I went with an exact translation of Euro to U.S. size and Chris expressed some doubts on the fit for the 1st 10 minutes.
Now when she rides she is wearing them.

Has anyone tried the Alpinestars Recon Waterproof Boot yet? Saw a pair at my local dealer the other day. They have good arch supports. Not a full height boot, but look like something that would be good for walking in too.

Hmmm... this wasn't my experience.

I found that they ran 1/2 size big because they don't have 1/2 sizes.

I measured sole to sole on the 10's that I purchased and they matched my Teknic 11's exactly.

Sherob is correct to to say that they will feel tight at first....but they will break in around 2-300 miles....

Excellent boots at a great value!

My Joe Rocket Sonics have proven to be as good a summer boot as winter, and where I live in the PacNW, rain happens at any time so the waterproof/breathable lining helps immensely. Price was right at $117 and after 10,000 miles they are good as new.

Beware of those vented boots. I got some Oxtars for the summer, and they cooked my feet. Yeah, you get airflow, but when the temperature of that air is 120 degrees down there, it's pretty much a convection oven. I use my Alpinestars Gore-Tex all year. They get warm in the summer, but not as bad as the vented boots. Remember, if it's insulated to keep warm air in during the winter, it will also keep hot air out in the summer. Just like a Thermos.

If you are cheap like me watch Sierra Trading Post for when they have the Honda Foreman boots for $40. I bought a pair 3 years ago and love them. Low over the ankle, steel toe, great to walk in. Bought 2 more pairs this year with a $10 Google checkout discount. In stock now. They used to be listed as a motorcycle boot but are now under hiking.

I've got a pair of Honda boots. They're the most comfortable boots I've ever owned, right out of the box. They're light, not too hot, go on easily and dirt cheap too, you can't go wrong

I wear Oxtar Infinities and really like them, but they are a little hot in the summer. I am curious about the Oxtar Air Tech XCR for summer.
