Just did a rear tire change on the ST. Used my Walmart m/c Jack, but had a hard time finding the best place to put it. In the end used a small piece of wood lengthwise across the two jack supports.

But, it wasn't great, had to move it back to get away from the front tupperware, then had to fold the center stand up to act as a flat base. Then discovered that this made it difficult to get at the muffer band bolts.

When I had the Valk, someone made up a template that fit perfectly under Valk to make it secure-anyone done that for the ST or got some advise on getting it up on a jack?

But, it went well, got my new Pilot on and ready for my trip around the Western states.

Never used a jack. Center stand has always provided enough clearance.

In fact I normally change out the front tire when the rear is off so that I do not have to remove the front fender in order to remove the front wheel. Thats when I use an ordinary floor jack under the oil pan to just raise the front enough to squeeze the wheel out.

Well this is what I am using with my jack. The block is screwed to the board and is shortened to fit between the board and the pads were the center stand rests. As you can see you don't have to remove the lower faring.

I use a floor jack with a short 2x4 between the pipes to lift Chris's 1300 and my 1100.

I put the ST on the center stand, put my M/C jack under the bike against the front of the center stand and then push the bike off the center stand and it lands on the M/C jack at the right balance point and I jack it up. When lowering, just put the bike back on the center stand and pull the jack out from under the bike. Works the same way for the Wing for anyone wondering.

Wish I had known this... I would have asked you to demonstrate while you were here!
