Here is an interesting article about Harley....

I like the part about half way down where they thought about positioning the V4 overhead cam engine sideways:06biker:

Reminds me a lot of a Vmax and would make me think about a hog to ride ????

That's fascinating and kind of a shame. HD would surely have had a couple of real rip-snorters in that line.

And those complaining about the seat heat on the ST should be glad the radiator is out front. :D

The not too successful departure of the norm V-Rod, indicates to me the Nova may have been a bigger flop; personally, I like the Nova less than the Rod, appearance wise. Harley is doing quite well these days with what has gotten them this far. Droping the Nova project was a good thing. Good article. I never heard of the Nova.

HD didn't 'drop' the Nova project willingly. AMF plundered all the cash from the company, they only had enough money to roll one out, the Evolution or the Nova.

BTW, my Venture has the 'sideways' V-4. It didn't put out anymore heat than the ST...and it had 'heater' vents on sideware. You could open them for cold weather riding, gave you a little heat on the legs...
