I have a Gerbing heated jacket and heated gloves that I am using with a dual portable heat controller.
I like separate controls for the jacket and the gloves but I don't like the separate wiring harness for the gloves that I have to use if I want to control the heat for the gloves separately.
I called Gerbing and for $15 plus shipping, they will rewire my jacket so that I can use the plugs on the jacket for the gloves and have them on a separate heat control.
What setup do the riders do that have the heated socks use?
How hot do the socks get?
Is it better to run the socks with the gloves thermostat or the jacket thermostat?
You experiences and input will be greatly appreciated.
TIA,
Andy

Or... get the dual star heated grips and put all the gerbing stuff on one controller... your hands get the extra heat that way.. how's that for a solution?

Gerbing jacket liner, gloves and socks on one heat controller and sems to be just fine. Have no intention of going to the dual heat controller.

Mr. Gerbing should be nominated for sainthood.

I've got a dual portable controller with my gloves on one circuit and everything else on the other. Works great for me!!

I agree with Jeff about nominating the Gerbings for sainthood. They make a good product and do a nice job of supporting their product line as well as their customers. We visited their shop to get outfitted and they are real nice folks.

I sent my Gerbing jacket & pant liner back and had them rewired so the socks and gloves are on one and jacket and pants on the other of the dual heat troller. Even though your legs are faired the boots stick out in the wind and with the Heli-Bars installed my hands were up higher and more into the wind. I felt that I needed more heat for the socks and gloves. Have only ridden in 43 degrees but I like the change so far. :)

Exactamondo. Maggie and I have ours set up just this way and they work great. Gerbings gear will definitely keep you toasty on those chilly days.
