in two weeks of my new 2004 ST1300ABS, 800 miles! Hoping for many more miles in 05!

Now I guess your mileage would depend on when you bought it in 2004 if yours was new. I waited until the first week of September to get mine so 11000 was all I managed before December.

Next year will be another adventure.

... so far it's only been 12,000 miles or so per year (actually 20,000 kms) but now I look forward to a few more. My old XS11 Yamaha and the GL1500 Wing saw most of these miles, along with almost 10K on the lovely blue Beemer I had last year. But now, I'm psyched ... ST11 here we go ! ... 20K or bust !!!

..yup, the old XS11 had it where it counted, eh ? ... a real torque monster ! That's the one I wish I'd kept, but alas was sold ... oh well, if I ever get to the point where I can have a garage full of bikes, there will be an XS11G.

I just bought my ST1300 so its got 0 miles on it, but last year I commuted up about 5000 miles on my 82 CB900F. Thats 40 miles a day for 125 days, I started around April 20 and skipping storm and tornado days managed quite a few miles by Oct 31 when I quit. I'm anxious to get out. We had a real nice day at Christmas and again after New Years and I took a short rides both days. The old DOHC doesnt like to start when its cold like it is now. The ST wont have that problem I'm sure, and I can say I wont miss it!
