Time for a nice cold trip to Oklahoma/Arkansas?

Meet in Talihina, OK (south end of town at the E-ZMart) US-271 and Hwy-63.

10am, do Talimina Drive scenic byway to Mena, AR (52miles).

Where is a good place to spend the night that is close to the beginning of the trip?

Bill, I don't think there's any place really close to Talihina. Wilburton is probably the closest town that has several motels. As a plus, OK 2 south to OK 1 is a nice ride.

There is an motel just south of Talihina. It's a very small one, maybe 10 rooms, never been there so I can't say if it's any good but if all you need is a place to stay for a night it might be okay, I see bikes there from time to time. I think there's another place in town. I don't have any info. yet. I'm hoping to go to my parents place this weekend so if I have a chance I'll get some names/numbers for you.

I'm not sure, I'm scheduled to be on call that weekend but it looks like I can get out of it so I'll probably head up Friday after work and stay at my parents place then come back on Sunday.

I can't get off being on call and I have to babysit a system upgrade tonight...

This really sux.. this is the 3rd thing I've planned that I haven't been able to make... Hopefully, there's still enough interest from you and other to go... heck, just go... If eveyone canceled on me I'd still go...

I'm gonna try better with my planning next time, but this was something that I couldn't get out of.. sorry again.
