I've got an old..
'90 Bushtec that has seen duty behind 4 bikes...so far.
I have towed it on an 8K mile trip with my ST and a few short jaunts.
I built a gang relay set-up in an RS project box. I plug it in before hook up and it STays in the tail under the seat. This takes any STrain off the STs wiring.
The trailer has been almoST 100% reliable. It had a small weld break at one of the suspension pivots and was easily fixed at a welding shop while on the road. I personally have worn out a set of tires and was able to replace on the road in MT with minimal haSTle.
The Tech tows straight and true and holds enough to make camping a joy. Big tent, chair, cot, cold food etc.
Fully loaded the bike feels it a bit on accel, braking feels the same and cornering is a non-issue :-)
Fuel mileage for a long trip has been 40ish at indicated 80ish 8)
