I'm thinking about getting a tankbag and wondered what brand/size you guys are using and the problems you've run into with them.

I just bought a Tourmaster tankbag from Honda Direct. Here is the web site with the tankbag: ITS A BIGAN.

I also have a Chase Harper 750 Mag. Its a whole lot smaller. I have put the tankbag electrification kit in it from http://www.powerletproducts.com/. I would let go for $50.00 plus shiping.

I use a bagster system for my ST1100 but it is also available for the ST1300

It protects your tank cover and the bag is easy to fit. It is also good if you have serveral bikes. You only need the tank cover for every bike but you could use the bag for different bikes.
I paid for my cover 95 EUR in Europe. I am not sure about Dealers in USA.
You could check it in the online cataloge

I have a Tourmaster Super Mini bag... It's small but all I wanted one for was to be able to hold my camera and/or MP3 player plus some misc stuff like paper, pen, etc. So I wouldn't have to get off the bike and get into the trunk just to take a pic or switch out my glasses.
It comes with a rain cover, and when on the bike and pulled back just a little the handlebars won't touch it. It's not for everybody but I was looking specifically for something small, light and unobstrusive.
Here's the link to newenough.com where I got it for $49

I like the Marsee bags. I use an Ovalation 20L 4-strap.

... I read the Chase Harper non-magnetic is good, right size, does not interfere with handlebars too much ... I guess magnetics are no good since the 'tank' is plastic, right ? ... (saw your ad, Scott)

Thanks Guys,
Mellow I was looking at that very same cortech mini-bag at newenough.com earlier this morning.
I don't want anything very large to get in the way of my high speed countersteering :biker:

I have a Marsee 15L non-magnetic tank bag I'd let go very reasonably. It's pretty water resistant, expandable, so it lays pretty low until you want to pack it up. Very high quality build, and I don't seem to have any problems with it being in the way.
Lemme know.

This is the one I have. No complaints. I've never noticed it touching the bars other than at a standstill. (I do have risers though...)

I decided on the Cortech super mini with straps, thanks for all the help guys. Everything else was just too big for what I needed.
Newenough.com are just great people to deal with. They send you autoconfirm emails...then a live body usually Megan sends you a confirmation/informational email...then you get a shipped email including auto-tracking to verify details of delivery. They are the best I've dealt with online.
