Jack for the ST-1300

Does anyone use a Jack to raise their bike off the ground? Will one of the bike jacks work lifting from the oil pan, maybe using a piece of wood that would be against the oil pan?

I have one of the larin lifts from Sam's but I never could get it to fit right so...

When needing the rear off the ground, use the centerstand.

When needing the front off the ground, I take a box and put a couple 40lb dumbells on the rear seat... That way I can take off the front tire.

I dont know about 40 pounders, but I bet there are a couple
of 200 pounders that could do the job :)
