... at Michael's in Carson City.
It was red, almost the same color as the 2005 ST1300 only maybe just a little more purplish, somewhere between the 2002 ST1100 color and the 2005 ST1300 color, IMO.
Real purdy...
Never seen one that color before...

Don,
I saw that bike at a dealer when I was looking around for my used ST..... they look real nice. The Carson City caught me right away since my brother in law lives there and my son will be heading out in a few days to visit and go on a bike ride with 9 of his buddies, but he works for Harley so I wish them luck........ There trailering the bikes to Park City then doing a ride that is pretty popular (can't remember) about 800-900 miles. Have a good day.
Thanks Dave

I saw one that was pretty cool, but it had this funky push button shift system w/o a clutch. Now that's just plain WRONG!!!!!!!!!

Jeebus, you would think that for all the $$$ you spend on an FJR they could at least include a clutch! :)

I just saw an '07 FJR today as well at Temecula Motorsports, sitting right next to a silver ST1300 with a SOLD sign on it. I wonder who the lucky buyer is.
It was interesting to see the two bikes side by side. I actually like the marroon'ish color of the FJR. The silver color of the ST seems to have more of a metal flake color than my '03. However, it looked an awful lot like my bike. My son commented initially that it looked like it was the same bike as mine. Yeah, son. Nothing changed except the color.
The FJR didn't have bags, so it looked much more sport-bike'ish than the ST. I think it's a mighty fine looking bike. MUCH nicer seat than the ST, but it's clear that it doesn't offer the same wind protection that the ST does.

Not me, I can't afford one of those shiny new rigs with all them fancy doo-dads on em. Still riding the old black beastie.
Did put some HVMP barend weights on it last week though, so it doesn't look quite as run down as it did with the old chipped up black ones on there. :D

Here's a pretty good pic to show the color.
It's actually pretty close to one of the goldwing colors I think, black cherry?

The FJR is a nice bike... I try never to put down any bike. Simply because they are all pretty much great in my mind.. they all have their problems and issues, heck they are man-made so they are in no way perfect... and, since every one of us is different mentally and physically there have to be a myriad of options to the consumer.

I've been hangin on the fjr board alot lately, and yup I agree with Joe, every bike has some good and bad, you have to "add it up", somehow.
Some things can be like deal "breakers or makers", though. Price is one ofcourse. The fjr has (07 any way) gear indicator, I believe oem heated grips, abs is standard now too I'm pretty sure.
And while the ST has some issues though, so does the fjr. Just read a post by "AGirl", who by the way is traveling all ova da country on her new 07, she just now (yesterday and probably today) is having all kinds of trouble because of how the bike is running at altitude. She has like 11k miles and never had this issue before, but now the beast is almost unsafe because of low power and abrubt throttle etc.
Other people have had some ignition failures, one person like 3 times. And others had the dreaded exhaust valve guide "tick", which yamaha seems to be fixing even out of warranty though.
So again, not knocking the bike, we all know the ST has it's issues, coolant leaks, weave in dirty air, etc.
But the grass isn't always greener. And while there are I'm sure a great many of us with ST's and FJR's with "NO PROBS", no guarantees when buying... speaking of which the FJR only has a 1 yr warranty (I believe, I think it's 1 or 2), and here in Florida (no discounts), that additional 3yrs is over 700 bucks

I went up to the Indy 500 this past weekend and rode my buddie's 04 FJR for about 200 miles on Saturday (there are some nice roads there if you know where to look). I really do like the bike ( I had one for awhile). I like the size and weight of it better than the ST and while the 1/4 miles times may not be all that off between the 2 the FJR just feels like it has alot more power. Gear down a few and hit it and WOW (it has a better sounding exhaust and that could even help make it feel faster). In the end I like the ST better but the FJR sure is a very nice bike.

Hmmmmm
My buddy has an '06 AE, silver. I was under the impression that the AE is silver only for '06 & '07. I liked last years blue and this years maroon.
I also think that heated grips are standard on the AE, only.
He's had both, FJR's and an '03 STA. He bites for the horsepower, and the AE has him really intrigued. He (We, no make that me) put a throttlemeister on a week or so ago. He's been riding other bikes lately. The Bergman 650 for a couple of weeks (he got a brutal ticket, my hero. Glad he was leading) and now is back on his 'busa. I know what will happen in a week or so when he gets back on his FJR. He'll say "What is wrong with me? I have the perfect MC here, and I keep riding other stuff." BTW, the Bergie is for sale, the 'bus is part of his 'fleet'.
A good bike, to be sure. I prefer the ST, he prefers the FJR. I like Newsweek, he likes Time. They are that close.
