Silly questions thread!

I know I've seen a couple people commenting on being a first-time rally-er this year, and I know I can't be the only one with silly questions to ask. So I thought I'd start a thread specifically for those questions you might not be so sure about asking.

So my first question... How exclusive is WeSTOC? I have some non-ST riding buddies I'd love to invite along for some of the rides or something, but can they register with the event? I've got a winger friend who'd probably love to register and come hang out, and as we're all in Seattle, it's not like it's out of their way.
I know it's an ST owners club event, but I don't know if we're gonna boo and hiss at the passing wingers or what.

Other then that I'm excited for my first rally, and looking over the routes. I've got my GPS ready so I'll probably load them all up to be prepared, but I also live just 15 miles from Redmond, so I can easily whip home for something I forgot.

It's not my event so I can't speak for those organizing it however, there were a handful of wings that showed up last year in Golden, CO and if there was any booing or hissing going on I didn't hear it... I might have had my earplugs in at the time...

One thing about STers that is one of the main reasons why I love this group so much, they don't care what you ride just that you ride...

Hell....there's even been a few Har%%$ show up, numerous BMW's, an few sexy Italians and this year there will be at least 2 scooters and 1 cruiser/side hack rig. :D

The only silly question is the one you don't ask.....unless it's about oil/tires/high speed wobble/DQ treats.....Those silly questions have all been covered. :)

I figured this would be the response, I just wanted to be sure I didn't show up with some friends and get a bunch of dirty looks because they ride a 'wing. :D

I cracked up when the squid, Triumph rider, and some other guys came riding thru the bikes trying to figure what 100 or so motorcycles were doing in one spot, and why they weren't invitied :crackup

Shoot, though circumstances beyond my control, I had to show up to my first WeSToc event with a truck & a V-Strom... The first thing them ST folk did when I pulled in the parking lot in San Luis Obispo, was run over & help me unload the bike... Gotta love ST People:bow1:

As long as you can make it around the gate to the parking garage. :) Actually, the hotel will be roping off the top deck of their private garage, and as much below that as needed. There is enough room for us to just drive around the gate going in or out and park up top. We've been given permission to do that in lieu of being issued electronic parking cards. The cleaning station will be <somewhere> up on the parking deck.

The pool of the Marriot is on the same level as the top of the garage. Not quite the grassy area we had in Golden, but the group that likes to hang out all day near the bikes will be able to do it pool side. :)
