Montana Rides

Living just North of Montana in Canada we enjoy the friendly and inexpensive travel in the Big Sky country. The ride from Broadus through Billings then down through Red Lodge into Wyoming on #212 and then on #296 down to Cody is incredible. On the west side of Montana the Ride from ST. Mary's over the Logan Pass "Going to the Sun Highway" (careful on the west side your 'll scream for 10 minutes before you hit the ground) then # 2 from Kaispell two Libby or down 93 to Elmo then #28 to # 200 follow that west into Idaho. Logan Pass has become crowded, choose your time, but that is a beautiful area.

Hey Horst, why don't we do that this summer. Anybody else out there want to ride in the Big Sky Country this summer. I'm aiming for end of July, beginning of August. That pass south of Red Lodge is incredibly high, you need fuel injection up there. Can you say switch back. Tell ya what Horst I'll ride back with you to the Island to see my brother....

Gotta be Beartooth, was there two years ago, temp was about 70 degrees at the pass, first time in three tries that the sun was shining and not snowing. Great ride. Gonna ride to Montana this summer and then continue west into Idaho and Washington gonna do the north cascades highway again.

Yes, it's the BearTooth, isn't that incredible. We spent part of a day going through the Western Museum,in Cody Wyoming, the gun section is amazing. Virginia City is worth a visit in Southern Montana. Sounds like a bunch of us might be riding down there this summer, any chance of connecting? We could meet in Montana and head west together, Horst can show us around Vancouver Island, we can take the Anacortes Ferry over. Head weST young men, er well young thinking..I'd be willing to put some energy into helping arrange some stuff..rooms, camp grounds, routes etc...Let me know, right now all I can do is dream..
