Having not been able to look at a ST13 as of yet, I won't get mine until march and my service manual wont be here for a few days at least, ordered it yesterday I have a question. Is there a open fused accessory block on the fuse panel? On my GLs there was a place on top of the fuse panel that you could attach electrics to that would shut off with the key. Danny

Probably one of the best places to get power from is to add the quartet harness to your bike which can be ordered @ your dealer. This harnes is required to add Honda accessories like the heated grips or honda 12 volt out let. As noted by other members the red 3 pin and the natural 3 pin are used for the honda accessories so even if you add these two you will have a black 3 pin and a natural 9 pin un used. You can then get the matching plugs from http://www.electricalconnection.com/electrical-components/hitachi.htm
which will allow you to make use of some of the other un used plugs on the Q harness. I am in the process of doing things this way.
You can also go to http://www.powerletproducts.com/products.php?mid=1
to add some of the BMW power lets to your bike which connect direct to the battery for things requiring a larger load like heated vest. A lot of members have the dual rear outlet on there bike including my self and find it very handy.

Check out this link: http://motorcycleinfo.calsci.com/Electric.html#Power
I installed one of those blocks on my 1300 and the installation was a piece of cake and it's made for a nice way to keep my electical connections happy (Heated seat, grips, GPS, and cruise control). It also automatically disconnects the battery charger if you're using one when you turn the ignition on.

Here's a couple links for you. I've used the centech one but not the Painless wiring one. The centech did very well for me.

Centech Fuse Panel (http://www.centechwire.com/catalog/panels/ap1.shtml)

Painless Wiring (http://www.painlesswiring.com/fuseblock.htm)

A good thread on install of the above fuse block.....
http://www.my-mc.com/messages/1/35212.html

Also, here is the info I used when installing my aux fuse block......

I found all the info on http://www.my-mc.com/cgi-bin/discus.cgi (http://www.my-mc.com/cgi-bin/discus.cgi)
just click on SEARCH and type "fuse block" and select HONDA from the
Search Topic field near the bottom of the page.

I used the following:

Pics and Part # list http://www.geocities.com/tfm1_99/st_accessories.html (http://www.geocities.com/tfm1_99/st_accessories.html)

GREAT wiring diagram http://www.geocities.com/tfm1_99/ST_FUSE.pdf (http://www.geocities.com/tfm1_99/ST_FUSE.pdf)

Read this post for some GREAT info on Aux Fuse Block
http://www.my-mc.com/messages/1/1500.html (http://www.my-mc.com/messages/1/1500.html) It reads from the bottom of
the page to the top due to it being an archived thread. Look for a
post by Michael Moore about half way of the page.

I had to trim the edges off the fuse block with a dremel for clearance
- not a big deal at all. I used standard velcro 3" x 3" patch to stick the fuse
block on the side of the battery. I should note that I am going to replace the standard velcro with 3M Dual Lock available at http://www.aerostich.com/riderwearhouse.store just enter "2250" into the search bar.

Here is a current pic of my fuse block http://community.webshots.com/photo/199180201/233958816ovCPbC

I know. I wish someone would order it and let me know how well it works. I found it and might order one because I think the Bluesea one is too big but I'm not ready to get one quite yet. I still have the centech one which I think it great but I'm not sure it's as good for the ST as it was for the HD. On the HD it was well protected inside the fairing.

The Bluesea one linked to above doesn't have a negative bus like the centech though. Not sure if the one from Painless Wiring has one either. I'm not sure if it's a must have but I sure like an all-in-one clean solution.

Blue Sea does have a couple models like the one above with a neg bus. Check the link I posted above and look at all the models they offer.

There ought to be an accessory panel on the market just for us tourers, shouldn't there? Seems like the requirements haven't beeen fully met by anything on the market just yet. How's this for a product spec:

12v Motorcycle Accessory Power Box

A self-contained, waterproof unit comprising:

30A main fuse on input from main battery takeoff
RLYa energized either by switched +12v or by separate panel switch
RLYb energized either by switched +12v or by separate panel switch
1A fuse on coil of RLYa and RLYb
8 way ground bus bar
8 fused 12v outlets, 4 pre-jumpered from RLYa, 4 from RLYb
Supplied with 4 x 1A and 4 x 5A blade fuses
Clear cover, waterproof cable entry gland, write-on labels for outlets
Overall size no greater than 4 x 3 x 1.5 inch
I could manufacture these if you think the product spec is what we are all looking for. What features do we want? What would these units be worth? Who wants one if they are available later this year?

Regards,
Rob

I found the 6 fuse Blue Sea with the ground bus was almost perfect for me. I don't mind adding wiring, relay, etc.

Adding to the wish list, the fuses should be the mini blades like the ST1300 uses. That would allow the accessory fuse block to be a little bit smaller and you would only need to carry one type of spare fuses. That would have made the Blue Sea unit pefect (for me).
