Have decided to go west on a big loop ride hitting WeSToc along the way(see map below) route subject to change at any whim. If anyone is going roughly along this route and would like to ride some or all of it together, drop a shout . For my part I'm more into sightseeing than hard core riding:04biker:
unless a nice twisty road happens to pop up:rolleyes:

Yes, it is. GREAT road! We hit it on the way to WeSTOC last year. I'll be riding it at least once during BearSTOC this August.

You might also want to look at the 'Roads to WeSTOC' site. If you're not hitting any of these on the riding days at WeSTOC, you'll want to try an incorporate them into your route on the way to or from WeSTOC if you have the time. I-90 is pretty boring!

+1 on Beartooth Pass. Here's (http://www.st-owners.com/forums/showthread.php?p=243815#post243815) a twisty Washington route you might also wish to consider.

You're right there, hit in in the big truck years ago, but in order to have more time at other places (like that Beartooth Pass) have to eat alot of miles when I can. BTW, is Roslyn worth going out of the way for????? Thanks to all for the suggestions and keep'em coming, am open to most anything:eek:

Understood. I90 is definetly the fastest route in then. As for Rosyln, if you were a big Northern Exposure fan, then I guess it's worth a stop. Otherwise, I don't know if I'd bother.....

Not a big fan but a friend is,thought a pic of bluebike in front of "an oasis" or "the brick" might be cool.....but maybe not, will see how the time works out. This trip is already over 6k, not sure I can budget another new rear tire just to get back home:rolleyes: but hey ya only go around once right?

It's only 3 miles off I90, so it shouldn't take you much time to get the shots. Probably worth it then. :)

It describes a Washington route from Newport west -- one connecting the towns mentioned by way of some less traveled roads. It ends going over the North Cascades on Hwy 20 (DH1 (http://washington.destinationhighways.com/dh/North_Cascades/1sum.htm)).

It's perhaps the best east-west route in the state -- better than 2 or 20 all the way (certainly better than I-90). The Gifford Ferry (http://www.angelfire.com/wa2/hwysofwastate/ColRivBr59.html) presents a short wait and Grand Coulee Dam (http://www.gonorthwest.com/Washington/northeast/Dam/Grand-Coulee-Dam.htm) the main attraction.

Roslyn is surely interesting to Northern Exposure fans, but it's a simple day trip from Redmond, I'd suggest.
