Take a look at this video. What do you suppose causes the wobble?

That's been around quite a few times.

He got into loose dirt on the side of the road, the rear stepped out and that was the result.

Looks to me like the rear tire slid a little then the rider did everything wrong after being startled out of his wits. Lucky he didn't go over the edge! Every Body Panic!

Makes sense if there was loose gravel there.

And hey, I'm at speed and encountering a wobble, I think I'll put my foot down!

It really helped to fixate on the wall as well! If he'd stuck with it, it looks like the bike would have self-corrected.....

A good reminder to not get in the way of the bike.

Let's not forget.. he KNEW he was being recorded... he used the clutch just before so was he gonna zip away for the camera? Hit a lower gear and not concentrating on how low so the rear either spun out and rather than ride through it.. as raven said, he fixated on the wall.

That show off stuff will get you every time. IF, that was the case.

I am here to tell you that the show off stuff doesn't get you everytime. But painfully often:) Watching that made my body hurt, in some places that haven't really hurt for a long while...

This has been around before.

In the slow mo' at the end you can JUST catch a visual on his foot, of a DOWN SHIFT as his foot enters the frame.

Probably an unseasoned rider, popping the clutch after a smacking it down a gear, and momentarily wobbling from it, then freaking when it wobbles and doing everything else wrong too.

Newer riders often get caught wobbling from a down shift at least once early on, before they learn to do them more timely and smoother.
