... I know Clearview used to make a nice headlight protector for the ST11 but cannot seem to find anyone who carries it. Any leads, or former owners who would like to part with one ? .... any reasonable price will do.
Thanks ... Horst in Victoria, BC. :)
AEROFLOW
I got mine from CST and it is almoST invisible and it works

$15 for headlight protection film - 3M Scotchguard - 8mm thick. Loved the kits on my FZ-1 and Concours. No glue... wet the film, slide it in place and squeegie out the bubbles and forget it! Also comes off when you want it to, and I don't mean in a hard rain or a bike washing!

Look at the pulll-down menu and it specifically has just the headlight kit for the ST1300... The homepage is :

I just put the Aeroflow on this weekend and it looks like it's a winner.
I got it from www.casporttouring.com (HERE (http://www.casporttouring.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=14020&Category_Code=st1300_bodfen))
Ah, but you asked for an ST1100, www.casporttouring.com has something called a Ventura Light Guard (http://www.casporttouring.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=14040&Category_Code=st1100_bodfen) and the StonGard Headlight Protector (http://www.casporttouring.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=17215&Category_Code=st1100_bodfen) but I know nothing about them.

Ventura is a removable plexiglass guard that attaches with velcro at the corners. Made in Australia, mates! I sold my ST1100 with the Ventura that had been cracked quite severely by rock damage - headlamp enclosre untouched.
Stoneguard is 3M film that attaches with glue. Permanent. Those that have it say it works.

I ordered the Tankslapper kit for the ST1300.
My experience was unless you have been trained to install the film, don't waste your money on the headlight or lower cowl sections. I ended up removing mine because they looked like crap and throwing them away.
On the other hand, the film for the top of the fuel tank and the top of the saddlebags installed without a hitch and both "work like a charm".
The saddlebag film has saved the top section from a lot of boot scuffs.
I'm ordering the Aeroflow for my headlight.

I had the film on my ST1100 - the only problem with them is after years of use they tended to cloud up and get "dirty", but at that point I was afraid to remove them because I was worrried about getting a two tone effect (having some fading of the original finish and not under the film).
Of course my 95 is coming on 10 years old (just replaced it with an 05)
