Whilst our friends over the pond are basking in sun and warm temperatures, I have attached a couple of pictures taken from our training site in Stafford, Central UK, today Tuesday 26th June.

When enlarged you can see two blue buildings to the right. The first is the container that holds 9 training bikes from 50cc scooters, 125cc machines and 3 Suzuki 500's.

The other blue building is the office and classroom. Both are at the moment under 4 foot of flood water and it is still rising.

The second picture shows the driveway to the entrance to the site and it is unpassable unless you have a 4x4!

Okay, we are insured but it does not cover loss of business. I know of other companies here in the UK that are in the same boat (sorry about the pun!) but you can see what we are having to put up with in the UK at the moment.

On a good note, tomorrow Tuesday 27th, we are starting canoe classess and diving from the rooftops if anyone is interested in dropping in for a session, fun starts at 10am :)

We are now looking for a little ray of sunshine so that the river behind the training centre will subside and we can hopefully get back to some normality

This is what the area normally looks like!

But more rain is forecast

Well Mick I should be careful of what I wish for, but we really could use some of that water here in NE Ohio. We have very little this spring and summer. Sorry you are in the situation you're in, maybe SCUBA lessons would be more practical at the moment.

This morning I saw a headline that said Monsoon Mayhem (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/weather/article1985804.ece) and thought for sure that Absolutely Fabulous (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Absolutely_Fabulous) had been canceled two years ago... :)

Wow Mick!

hope things get better for ya'll. If I was in the neighborhood I'd take some swimming / diving / scuba / snorkeling / fishing lessons ;) just to (ahem ahem) keep you afloat

Sorry to read that Micky. I did think of you when I was watching the news last night and tonight and hoped you weren't affected. Sorry to see you are.

Personally, I'm absolutely sick of the rain and the forecast for even more of the stuff. It's not got us so bad in the south though - yet. I know we can't control the weather and I know there's chance for weeks of warmer weather yet but all the same, like you I'm sure, I really really wish it would stop raining.

I hope you recover OK and please put me down for the canoe lessons :D

All the best mate.

Get some paddle tires for the 125's and you're good to go!

Sorry for the loss, Mick - looks bad.

Sorry to see your site looking like the Lake district, luckily in the 'Not so Sunny South' we havent had a flooding problem, but it is still p*****g it down!
Saw on another part of the site, some guys chatting about going to Laguna Seca for the GP in July, bought back memories of being there last Summer during a heat wave, and riding a Hired Harley up the beautiful Coast road! - Memories! And now I look out the window!
