I pulled in last night and as I got ready to shut down I noticed a new noise. Sort of a tap/tick that only occurs when the clutch is out in neutral, pulling the clutch in immediately stops the noise.
Speculation? Information? Confirmation?
Thanks,
Chris
I would not worry about it, sounds like mine and I suspect it's just the clutch basket, a very common noise on many wet clutch bikes that I have owned.

There was a topic either here or the MSN board where DonD had said that Sync-ing the Throttle bodies would solve the issue of a loud clutch basket. I'm not sure if it's true or not as I have never had that problem, but I just thought I pass that on.

Sync'ing the TBs never hurts. I was refering to the noise that CBX riders were hearing and assuming it was a cam chain tensioner gone bad.
The sound/feel when the clutch is engaged is juST the transmission turning in neutral. On some bikes it really growls with even more vibes. I had Valk that did it more than my ST. No biggie. These bikes idle so smooth/quiet that it's more noticable..Heck the Valk idles so smooth you can balance a nickle on the cam covers.
Balance those TBs carefully and you will be very happy with the results.
