I'm torn....

I will only have a Saturday in the area basically, so I want to get some good riding in... I've done 550 from Durango north and that's obviously incredible and famous.. however, I've only done Monument Valley once...

So, what's the better option...

1-Mesa Verde NP to 550 north to Silverton, Quray, Montrose and Delta then US 50 west to Hwy 141 south to 145 and back towards Mesa Verde... (417)

2-Mesa Verde NP to 491 towards monticello then south on 191 to 95 west... to 261 south... to 163 and monument valley... then south to 160 and back towards Mesa Verde via 4 corners... (333 Miles..)

3-same as 2 but added loop through Canyonlands NP, Bryce NP and Glen Canyon NRA... probably 700 + miles but I wouldn't put it past me as I've got some catching up to do..

Any opinions?

---Desert, hot mountains, Desert in July.

I'd probably go for number 1.
All might have thunderstorms if the Jet STream ever shifts enough to let the moisture boil up to us from your area.

Trying to pick a route through here is like trying to pick your favorite child!!!!

#3. Hwy 12 through Canyonland and Escalante was the best most unique ride I have ever been on. Million Dollar hiway was good too, just not as unique. Didn't get to go to monument valley, but it is on my list for next time.

I will sorely miss not getting to go to this event. (kitchen passes are all gone til Sept)

If anybody is on the fence about this event, you will regret if you don't go.

Have fun Joe, I know you will

Door #3..

Take in HY 12, pick up US 89 to Ut 98 to US 160, to US 163 and on up to Monument Valley/Mexican Hat... (When at Bryce, you will be soooooo close to Zion)
It will be warm, but it will be a (ahem) "dry" heat.....
