We need to find you some longer roads!
FYI, I grew up in Hillsborough county. Brandon to be exact. When I lived there, the roads were great with little traffic. Last time I was back in Brandon it was wall to wall parking lots. How things change.

LOL. My ride plans are pretty much just a big game of connect the twisties :) There are quite a few more than those listed, but those are some of my favs nearby.

For example, here is a 130 miles ride I did for my riding club in November:

Just got done with a 140 mile ride. It was 48F when I left the house but it warmed up to low 70's. Sunny, very nice out. Perfect riding weather :)
Here is a close-up of part of my GPS track for the day showing some curvy roads in Pasco County, just north of where I live:

What about Florida's forgotten coast .... the seaside road up in the panhandle area ? ... Rider magazine wrote that up a few years ago and I was impressed ... it seems almost remote compared to the east coast, Miami maze. Anyone ride this road ?
BTW - Awesome color on your bike !

Horst,
Thanks :)
Don't know the Panhandle area & can't find any Seaside Roads on my map in that area. What city is it near?

Panama ? ... seems there's a town called Panama along the road.

Greetings!
Went for a short 2 hour solo ride this afternoon. Wanted to get some video tape of a couple of my favorite roads north of where I live (Tampa, FL) while riding my ST1300.
The video clips are sped up by several magnitudes in order to get a smaller file size. I wasn't really going that fast ;)
Trilby (CR-575) from Blanton to Lacoochee, north of Dade City:

and coming back on Trilby:

Bellamy Brothers:

Hayman:

Newberger (taped several weeks ago):

I live in Florida and they are some of the worst roads to ride on. Straight and flat. We have year round riding which is great, but sometimes I would prefer a shorter riding season for great roads

Here is another vid clip from my Sunday Ride. This one on Jessamine Rd, again, slightly sped up to decrease file size:

Man, I think I'm gonna throw up....
There's a spot in your vid Charlie, about 3/4 through where it's changing scenes or the camera is moved or something but it happens fast and looks like a wreck.. scared the ssssss out of me...

I certainly don't ride that fast, there are too many blind turns in New England :D . We are all fortunate to live in a beautiful country with such a great variety of roads. Thanks for the vids guys. :bow1: :bow1:

Now I know why you guys get great gas mileage.....no hills!

AgStreak,
Actually, lots of blind turns here too. Newberger would be an awesome road if it was on a track. As is, all too often have debris in the turns that you can't see until almost on top of it.
Charlie,
35megs  Still downloading, lol.
Mellow,
I try :D

Yes, I got a touch of motion sickness too :scared2: . Everyone, as always, be careful and ride safe.

Wow, you guys in Texas have some mighty open roads. Like John mentioned, most things are quite blind and closed up here. Whadda ya know hills in TX too. Nice roads nice vid. :04biker:
HWI, I stand completely corrected there is more than one hill/rise/whatever you call it in FL after all. I eat humble pie, and may just go down there to ride again one day, that last one in the vid. was almost as tall as a bike. Nice vid. :biker: I only whish I’d seen some roads like that when I rode down your way.
It goes from –10 to +110 in July, I’ll swap the Avatar then. Maybe NESTOC will yield an avatar pic.
Leo, you call that picture a hill? Our Ants build bigger ant mounds than that. Where’d you get a picture of my lawn behind my house? Last but not least when FL riders see something like that they Park the bikes and call Railway Express to ship the bikes around it. :p:
Okay nuff of that. Did you personally get to ride any of that awesome terrain you seem to have photos of? That stuff looks like my idea of riding turf in heaven. ~~~~~ :03biker: :04biker: :biker:
