It's all right Mellow I enjoyed reading it again. You're doing a great job and everyone is entitled to an occasional brain f**t. :crackup :crackup :crackup

"At idle the power plant is so quite that I once accidentally restarted the bike, unconvinced it had fired up on the first try. "

This one sentance makes me think this whole review was written without the author even riding or seeing the bike. The ST, every ST I've ever been near has one of the loudest idles of any motorcycle I've ever been near (exception SPHDs, Stright Piped H-Ds_)

Maybe he was talking about having his ear plugs in and thinking it wasn't running at a stop light? Otherwise, yeah, I don't know of any bike that quiet...

Thanks Mellow, I hadn't read it yet. It started out sounding like an ST bashing piece but most of it was pretty realistic, especially from a sportbike rider's perspective.

Speaking of brain f**ts, I tried to start my idling bike once.
It is deceptively quiet.- john
