Greets!

Installed the risers today. Fairly easy except for breaking loose those darn 6mm allen bolts :cus: And getting the 14mm box head underneath the riser to hold the hex nut in place while removing the 12mm hex bolt was no picnic either. Not to mention keeping the washer from dropping down into never-never land. Except for that, easy ;)

Just a short trip to the pet store (my pionus parrot needed some pellets) and back, but so far I like them. Much more upright, very close to how I sat on my RT, which is a good thing. STill too early really to give a verdict yet. Looking forward to putting it to the test on a longer ride :)

And, they have this neato ball mount where I can install my GPS, finally!

And, And, They also move the bars far enough up and toward the rider that I can use the RoadyHolder for my XM Roady2.

3 in 1, can't beat that :D

I've had Larry's risers on since last summer and have had no complaints , a big plus was they beat the heli and gen mar price by a long shot . I had the same experience with installation . Of all the things I love about this bike working around Honda's enginedarning is not one of them . Still a great ride .
Oh for some warm weather !!

Went for a 140 mile ride today. First somewhat long ride after installing the risers. They did a good job. Very comfy. Felt different doing major curves 'cause my hands were closer to my torso while leaning forward for the curves. Just took some getting used to. So far so good :)

Larry supplied me (in UK) with bar risers, GPS ball mount center piece, footpeg lowers and front fork brace. His service was first class, and the parts went on like a dream. I also had difficulty with breaking Hoda's studlock on the 6mm socket head screws, but persevered with a 6mm socket mounted allen bit and a 14 inch torque wrench bar. They went with a real crack :coolit:

I'm a 6 ft 2 inch shortass compared with Larry's 6 ft 4 inch frame, but the riding position with seat in highest position is now a dream.

Also in the UK we have the greatest number of sleeping policemen in the world. They are great fun to ride over. In case you got the wrong idea, these are mounds of asphalt and concrete and chicanes designed to slow drivers down in residential areas. With the new fork brace the ST1300 is much more stable as it takes to the air and lands 40ft down the road  :biker:

Pete, I've got no-one available to hold the camera while I sail over the sleeping policemen :? But I can do the pictures of the bar risers, the footpeg lowers and the fork brace, if these aren't already posted anywhere ...
