Somebody's lucky it wasn't raining!

If you look close, Steve and I are the only ones with hands on. Rich and his son Chris were adding verbal support. The rain came very shortly after the tent erection was completed.
you guys keeping the skeeters and black flies well fed??

I dunno Mac...looks like to me like Rich is about to cane you for not moving fast enough!!!
Steve and Rich... glad to see you made it up there before the rain. How was the ride up? Thanks for the company on Thursday for dinner. I had mentioned that I might try to get up there for a short spell but that's not going to happen. Have fun!!!

On Saturday we split into two groups, both exploring different areas along Lake Superior.... both in the rain...20122
But we had the beach to ourselves 20124 and we all found great roads. Of course we found time to eat 20123 and explore the area tourist traps 20125

Thanks for all the pics, Steve. And of course, thanks to Danny for offering up his place for the event! Here are some of my pics from the cell phone camera:
Dinner at the Up North Lodge. Great place with motorcycle-only parking in one spot. Gotta love that!

Lake Superior at the Iron Boat Loadout Breakwater ("Hell no, I ain't swimmin' in that water! It's 40 degrees!"):
20174
The overview at Pictured Rocks:

Filled up with fresh Pastys at the Bear Trap (That's "past-eez", not "paste-eez" for you Trolls [the Yooper term for those below the Mackinaw Bridge]):
20172
A good chunk of the crowd assembled before dinner Saturday at Danny's place (the Cudighi trip):

Just wanted to say Thanks to Danny for hosting and for the coffee. We only stayed for an hour or so but it was great to see everyone.
We got back from our "Circle Tour" of Lake Superior last night. 1964 miles door to door for me. That was my first real long ride on the ST.
I'll try to do a ride report on that one later.
Here are a couple pics I snapped at YooperSToc.
oh, sorry for bringin' the guys with the loud pipes
but Joe and his Harley made it around the Big Lake without a blink or a bobble...

OK, I know it's a little after the fact, but I finally put my blog together from YooperSTOC. Ignore the dates at the top of each post...those are the posting dates.
Here are the blog posts on the departure and the 3 following days:
http://adventuresofmuskegonman.blogspot.com/2007/08/departure-for-yooperstoc.html
http://adventuresofmuskegonman.blogspot.com/2007/08/yooperstoc-day-1.html
http://adventuresofmuskegonman.blogspot.com/2007/08/yooperstoc-day-2.html
http://adventuresofmuskegonman.blogspot.com/2007/09/yooperstoc-day-3.html
BTW, I enjoyed this trip so much, I made the trip across Lake Michigan, up Wisconsin, and up to Copper Harbor (which I chose not to go on during YooperSTOC). But more on that later.
