I put in a set of Philips headlamps this afternoon. I didn't want to remove all the Tupperware so I thought up a simple way to see what's going on up there.

After removing the small black splash guard to create more hand room, I angled a small hand mirror to give me a view of the area behind the headlight assembly. Shining a shop light at the mirror illuminates whatever the mirror is reflecting.

Amazing how much easier it became once I could see what I was doing.

In last night's chat I mentioned this technique for replacing headlamps without removing tupperware. For those who wanted photos, they're above.

What if I can only find a mirror with a solid blue color handle? Will that still work? :D

Yes, a mirror with a blue handle will work, although the fastest mirrors are silver. The one shown is about as big a mirror as you can use given the cramped quarters.

Have you ever noticed how only SILVER mirrors actually work?
