Does the spoiler actually help with aerodynamics, or is it just for looks and the taillight?

You other guy can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's just for the looks.

I would say its just for looks my self although the added brake light that high up I would think will make it a safety feature. (or so I told the wife any how) Haven't done the electrical yet, thinking about going to the quartet harnees for the brake feed instead of the rear lights but am waiting for a delivery from electrical connection.
