I just ordered a set of HOTGRIPS for the ST1300. Had them on other bikes and really liked them, especially the larger diameter. I am going to try and keep my Vista Cruise working as well.

My install was successful, with the larger diameter being very comfortable. Vista Cruise was installed at the same time, no issues. Order the Hot Grips with the spacers for the bar ends.

I received my hotgrips yesterday and I put them on and let them set over night. I have not wired them to a power source yet but will do so sometime soon. I know I will not need these for awhile but they will be nice in the winter and rain. I also really like the larger diameter of the grips.

These are supposed to get epoxied on correct? How do you get them off again should you need to, without messing up the the thottle sleave?

To remove grips that use expoxy you need to heat the grips to a higher than normal temperature and they will come off.
Just reading your post on the Hot Grips. I have a set of Hot Grips on my Transalp and really like them. Can you put the bar ends on the ST after you put the Hot Grips on? If so do you cut the end of the grip off? Is there a special kind of Hot Grip that you have to order for the ST? I priced the Honda grips and was very suprised - big money ($200) for a little LED set-up. Others have told me that the Symtec or Dual Stars are good and less expensive ($30- $40) but again I am like the Hot Grips from my Transalp and I know you can get a set of those for around $70 - $80. Also, when you wired yours up did you get the Honda quartet harness? That sounds like a must have for $17...
MAN! I just got off the HOT GRIPS web site $109.95 per grip (I thought that was for a pair) for the Hot Grips. After the epoxy and the counterbore spacers $226.86, with the standard toggle switch! WOW! Great grips but I was wrong with my first accessement of the cost of these things. Looks like the Symtec or Dual Stars are the less expensive way to go by far....

You might want to look at that again, I read it as $109 for a set. This is funny as I was looking at that site this AM and this post shows up, must be everyone is thinking ahead this AM?
That is what I thought! And then I thought well little more than what I wanted to spend, but that would be okay - I like the grips. Went through the check out process and then found out that $109.95 was for one grip the total for the grips was $219.90 for the pair, then 3.95 for the epoxy and 2.95 for the 6mm counterbore spacers totaled up to $226.86. I was shocked!!! I will keep looking....

If you order from Lockitt.com, order the set (I paid $99 on sale), and they will drill the ends for you so the bar ends fit on. You also need to get bar end spacers (free) so your bar ends can be properly fitted, as the length may not match up exactly to what your stock grips were. I believe CaSportTouring has them listed as an ST100 set, with spacers.
I used epoxy, and Heat-Troller for the control. Works awesome, and the larger diameter grips are great.
I don't know what happened when I was on the HOT GRIPS website the other day! I could have swore that it said one grip $109.95. Went in today and it is 109.95 for the pair. You were right I was wrong. I am going to order a set through Lockitt. Great grips! I have enjoyed them on the Transalp and the two position toggle switch is all I need... I don't need no fancy dials and LED readouts. I want to look at the road and the surroundings. Have a great holiday weekend and get out and ride.....

RaYzerman,
What lenght did you get for the grips:
4.75"
5.25"
5.75"
Velcro Mounted Heat - Troller or Dash Mounted Heat - Troller
It was nice meeting you at OnStoc.
We should go for a ride some day.
I would like to do the trip around Lake Superior before the end of season.
