Hi All,

Well I refused to file down my clutch handle mount to accomodate the MC Cruise control switch (see previous posts about me being anal) so I decided to use the HB-2 (or the HB-1) rammount to help me mount it without having to modify my clamp.

The added benefit I got from this was a way to keep my tank bag from beeping my horn and lowering my windshield. Now granted I has some spare rammount stuff so it made it easy and I also had to mount the thing upside down but I had to do that anyway to make mounting the MC Cruise switch possible. So I might as well put the bottom one to work.

I had to add an extra lock washer behind the mount to accomodate the space create by the switch but no big deal. I'll drop some pics in here so you can see what it looks like.

I know someone makes a little plate for this but I worked with what I had. It's probably not the most elegant solution or the cheapest but it works.

Curt

You could always file the clamp down and order a second one for about $8 http://www.ronayers.com/browseparts.cfm?searchstring=45517-166-006, and then if you want it stock again, put the spare one on.

Just an idea.

Now that is way too easy. I know I could do that and I may do it but I wanted the rammounts anyway so I was hoping to get a two-fer.
