Well, it was 3 degrees C, and blowing a gale between 30 and 40 mph, but I couldn't face sitting indoors. Went for a ride with the "Triangle Motorcycle Club" from Ipswich UK across Suffolk via Otley, Eye, Diss, and Thetford to a very nice Motorcycle friendly breakfast bar in Brandon (Imag0175).
We set off at 9am, and after a 70 miles of lovely cross country riding, me practicing my new "light touch" on the bars (thanks for the tips guys) to counteract the gusts, we arrived at Thetford Forest and Brandon.
Daughter Sarah rode pillion. Her hands were nearly frozen by the time we arrived. (Imag0174). You can just see my ST1300 with bones on it at the back. I promised her a pair of heated inner gloves for the next ride.
We all warmed up to a good English Monster Breakfast (Imag0171).
Mick wanted to take the Monster home with him (Imag0183). We told him it wouldn't look cool with that thing riding pillion with him.
Anyway we all had a jolly good laugh and then were on our way back to Ipswich (Imag0177).
I hope during the Summer to post a few snaps of the various villages and lanes in Suffolk, while out on rides. There's a lot of Churches and Castles and Market Halls dating back to 10th, 11th and 12th century. I didn't have a chance to stop and take piccies this time because the other guys were more interested in the riding than the scenery.
Best,
Rob
