How does one create and share a POI file? I found Joe's great Honda Dealers POIs and loaded them onto my new Zumo 450, but I noticed for example that the Oceanside Honda dealer local to me is no longer valid. They moved and I would like to correct it and reload, and even share the updated POI file. Thanks for any help.

There are a few shareware apps out there to do exactly this. One of these is POIEdit (http://www.poiedit.com/). One thing, IMO, that you should do is save the created POI files in the exchange (.gpx) format. That way TomTom etc. users can use them as well. HTH

I stumbled upon an article about creating a POI that is capable of using the phone dial feature of the Zumo 550 and others.
I am currently creating a list of the Non-Oxy gas stations in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Attached is a Demo file. You can modify the following items to make it a functioning file (note pad works as an editor) -
1. latitude - change the "xx"
2. longitude - change the "xx" and the "-" if necessary
3. description - change to the name of the location (don't use "&" it won't import)
4. anystreet, town, state, & zipcode - change to the proper locations
5. phone number - change to the following format xxx-xxx-xxxx
You can see where the individual items are repeated, you can copy and past as many as you like and just change the information.
Hope this helps.
