Sam and I got everything packed up and we arrived home around 10AM.
It was a fantastic weekend for us and it was a pleasure hosting everyone. All you guys and gals made it easy for us. I hope everyone had a nice ride back home from the Lodge.
There will definately be an OnSTOC 2008 with accommodations a little further north so that we can explore more of those nice roads to the northeast.

Hey all,

We made it home around 1:30 had about an hour long wait to exit the 401 in Newcastle where they closed the highway down completely don't know why but I'll assume there was an accident. I'm in for OnSTOC 2008. Chris & Sam Thanks again for hosting such a great event.

Dang, I got home at 1330 also, and I didn't go anywhere near TORONTO!!!!!! Total mileage since leaving home two weeks ago today: 7,385. Total on the
'06 ST: 60,768. Chris and Sam: Thank You so many times for all the work the two of you did to accomodate us. Without a doubt, you two need to take a vacation!!! Nothing was lacking and the routes were great. The food was pretty good(read EXCELLANT) too.

I got out of there about 0415 and I was hooking up the trailer, a huge raccoon came scrambling out of that big willow I was camped under. It was great to meet so many of the North of the Border folks as well as some new New Englanders (and New York). If I'm still able I will be at ONSToc '08. Thanks again!!!!!!!

Chris and Sam; thankyou! You should be proud, we're all pleased with our experience at ONSTOC'07. Next year's event will be bigger and better, without a doubt. As for accomodation, we really only need two rooms... one for those who saw logs and another for the rest!

Three cheers for Chris and Sam.Jeff and i got home around 3:30-drove the last half hour in the rain. You guys put on an awesome event.I can't wait for 2008.It was a pleasure to meet everyone and put some faces to the names.Apparently a trucker hit and killed someone who for some reason was standing on the side of the road. The traffic jam was huge.we scooted down the shoulder of the road for a couple of kilometers to get to the service center and had a ton of abuse heaped on us from the cagers who weren't moving an inch.At the service center a nice young lady working the counter at Timmies told me about a hole in the fence at the service entrance out back where we sneaked through and made a hasty escape. If not for her we might still be sitting there.Again thanks to our gracious hosts and to all the new friends made.P.S.-Hey Bones does this gualify me to be a writer or should i keep my day job?:03biker:

I made it home with 480.8 miles on the odometer for today. 1607 for the weekend. 2600 miles for the week. I think I'm starting to like the pain. I think I'm starting to understand!:D
Sam and Chris, what can I say, except that, YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!!
Wonderful weekend full of great rides, great food, and, most of all, great friends, new and old.
And finally, what do mean? We can't go back to the animal house again next year? What's up with that, eh!!!!!!

Made it home thru heavy traffic about 4:30. No real slowdowns, I even managed to skirt a few accidents.
Chris and Sam, ditto all the above. Words can't describe how much we appreciate the effort it took to put on this absolutely fabulous event. It was really too much work on your part. My warm memories of ONSTOC will last forever! It was great seeing old friends and making new ones.
BTW, I really liked Animal House too.

Hi all. It sounds like you all had a great time and I enjoyed meeting everyone, even though I couldn't go on the ride. Thanks Chris and Sam for putting so much effort into this event. I will be going next year for sure (as long as the body holds up LOL). Sorry that I didn't make it for dinner, but the people that I was staying with had made plans for me.
I got caught in the accident logjam too, but couldn't get through any hole in a fence with the cage! LOL. It was due to a hit and run and the police were asking for any help to find or identify the truck. They think that the driver was falling asleep and hit the pedestrian on the side of the road. Who knows why he was there. The accident happened at 5:45 a.m. and they didn't get the 401 opened until 4:15 PM from what the radio said. I also took some pictures of you leaving the restaurant which I'll put up on the other post.
Again, it was great meeting new fellow riders and I can't wait until next year.
Cheers,
Barry

I arrived home at 2:30, 1489 kms. round trip. We had travelled north of T.O., so missed the fun on the 401. Oh darn.
It was excellent to have everyone there, and although I can't mention all, we did see Eddie being Triumphant, Bones being colourful, neighbourly and truly the only American I know who knows all the words to Oh Canada!! Mac was a stalwart as well and I truly feel obligated to visit the STOC events in New England. Good people.
Sam and Chris, I don't know how you did it, really. It takes tremendous energy and the desire to entertain. The whole weekend was nothing short of awesome because of you two. I will be back for ONSTOC '08, and remember Eddie said I could even if I had a different bike (most of you know what that means).
Cheers to all, and thank you everyone for making it a great weekend. The next event will be even better!!

Chris and Sam, Thanks for all the work you put into the event(s). I enjoyed meeting all you fellow Canadians aye. The closer I got to home, the slower I rode... I just didn't want it all to end. Thanks Scott... traveling with you is always a pleasure. Hope to ride with you all again soon....

Hey, all. Home safe and sound with 1398 on the mile meter, 440 today. Eddie and I improvised a fantastic route home...no slab, of course. NY County Road 84 between 27N and US9: write that one down on your to-do list, gents and ladies.

Chris and Sam, a major tip of the helmet to you for pulling off a completely spendiforous event, complete with radiant Cave Man TV :cf1: which we all know is crucial to rally success. Glad to put faces to avatars and make new friends from the two-wheeled universe up in the Great White North. (Beauty, eh?)

Jan, you are a writer, dude. :headbang:

Chris, Sam. Thank you ever so much for putting together such a wonderful event. Animal House, was fantastic. It certainly provided me with a life time of memories of making new and wonderful friends. What better way of referring to people in the future. I know you... you where at Animal House in '07.

Once again, thank you for a wonderful weekend. I did have a great time.

Looking forward to other STOC events in the future. Rest of the pictures will be posted soon. Here are a few in the meantime.

Kudos to Chris and Sam for all their hard work and commitment for putting on the event. Great Job.

Sam, I am glad you kept me awake lastnight with the noise of you washing the dishes (read ... silverware is VERY loud when you bang it around in a stainless steel sink :) ) because it gave me the chance to go outside and hear the cacophony of coyotes howling in the distance. It truly was amazing to listen to that. Better yet though was the story you told me. Chris and you were sitting around the caveman TV lastnight listening the sound of snoring emanated from Animal House like a drone of WWII B-17 bombers flying overhead. And, Sam.... next time Babe. :)

It was great meeting the "gang" and being a non-ST owner, I appreciate being welcomed into the group. It was nice to the see the egos checked at the door and everybody was just out for a good ride and a good time. Wonderful scenery, very entertaining roads, good food and good company.

Ray, sorry to slow you down getting off the ferry but the Bandit had a tough time getting up the slope of the off-ramp; it was taxing on the engine as you can imagine.

Bones and Eddie, you guys were a hoot. Nice Sprint; you can't beat the sound of a triple. Eddie, please tell me that isn't you on your Avatar. ***?

Ralph, good to ride with you. You were the calming Zen-like influence for our group which was needed now and again as we did keep a good clip going.

Jan, you're a good wingman. Trust you always and always good for a laugh.

The handle bar mounted video turned out pretty good. I'll try to put some time aside this week and edit it down to something manageable to post and watch.

Bones, I forgot to give you the Toonie for your story. I'll get you when Jan and I ride your way.

All the Best!

Jeff

I got home about 4:15 PM yesterday. It was a good ride home, I did hit rain in the Pocono's and it lasted all the way home from there. But it was a good ride with not much traffic. I am throwing up a couple of pictures now and will post more later. These are not from some of the twistiest roads we were on because I took them while riding.

What a great weekend, thanks to Sam and Chris! The Saturday ride was awesome with sweeping turns, twisties, and not many other vehicles on the 396 mile route. Mother Nature took care of us as well with temperate weather and moderate winds so we didn't overheat during the route stops. I was definitely tired and ready for a few wobbly pops after the run.

Our hosts put a lot of work into making the first OnSTOC and my first STOC event a complete success. No one went hungry with the amount of food Sam prepared in advance and her able assistant Chris BBQ'd the burgers, sausages and pork loin chops to perfection. :bow1:

RaYzerman, MileEater and I took back roads home to see the countryside (& how much Toronto has expanded to the north!). A steady drizzle fell during the last 60 miles of my solo run from Ilderton to Sarnia, but my HD rain suit kept me dry.

Thanks to all attendees for making OnSTOC an unforgettable event. Pics to be posted later after editing. :03biker:

Checking in kinda late. I left early Sunday morning, from Napanee, for a week's holiday of trout fishing with the kids. This is the first time I've been in front of anything electrical for over a week.

Chris & Sam: Thanks for organizing & hosting this. Hopefully we can relieve you of some of the burdens for next year's OnSTOC.

Everyone else: It was great meeting up with you & hope to see you all again at future STOC events . . .

There will definately be an OnSTOC next year with accomodations in the Bancroft area which is a little more central to the nice roads in the NE and in Haliburton. There are a lot of options as far as accomodations and restaurants go in Bancroft and we could run a number of routes from there. I just have to make sure that we can still have the necessary CavemanTV wherever we end up. I am also toying with the idea of making the event Thursday to Sunday as it went by too fast this time.
We are really looking forward to riding down to our next STOC in NH in less than two weeks.
Also I must report that one of the attendees of OnSTOC jumped over to the dark side and purchased a nice red wing after that grueling ride last Sat.
Just remember you are always welcome here or at any STOC event no matter what you ride just as long as you ride it.
