Changing Own Tires for 05

Just browse thru the manual and metioned about changing tires. I thought you where supposed to take off the left muffler or something. The 05 manual said don't have to. This might be a reason for me to do my own tires.

You are supposed to loosen the front bolts on the right muffler and remove the two bolts on the hanger part of the muffler and then rotate it down and out. You need to do this to slide the axle bolt out. You don't have to remove the muffler at all.

I have heard some guys taking a small hammer and putting an indention in the underside of the muffler to eliminate this step.

Taking the wheels on/off is a pretty easy procedure.

But do you think that the 05's, this proceedure is slightly different now? I have noticed some changes from having the 03 to the 05. I will have to experiment :D

I don't know, maybe they put and indention in the muffler for you on the 05's or made the hanger brackets smaller so you could slide the axle bolt out without removing the muffler...

Guess we'll see when the 05's start getting some more mileage on them.
