I gonna install hyperlites tomorrow and want to know which wire is the brakelight wire. I know green is ground, and I believe the striped wire is the brake.

Can someone confirm this or "enlighten" me please.

I'll 2nd that for a 2003.

This is old from somewhere.............

"On the tail light, there are three wires, Green, Green w/ Yellow Stripe for the brake light, and Brown w/ White Stripe for the tail light"

Thanks for the info guys. I've been working on the ST with the hyperlites tonight and am ready to tap into the brakelight and ground wires. They gave me the red color taps.

Should I pre cut the insulation before tapping the wires with a wire stripper to get a good connection or just squeeze the tap onto the wires and let the tap do its job?

Have not used the taps before, believe it or not.

Jeff - in my experience, you don't need to pre-cut the insulation. Just crimp the taps on and you should be good to go. Good luck!!

Green w/Yellow stripe is on when the brake is applied.

The ground is Green w/silver I think.

Here's 3 pics of where I hooked in my Givi Brake Wires

Brake Wiring 1 (http://www.hard-core-ware.com/images/brake-wiring1.jpg)
Brake Wiring 2 (http://www.hard-core-ware.com/images/brake-wiring2.jpg)
Brake Wiring 3 (http://www.hard-core-ware.com/images/brake-wiring1.jpg)

Hope that helps. The light blue wiring is the hot on the Givi harnes. #2 is the best shot because you can see the light blue wire for the Givi harness in the background coming off of the connector with the green/yellow wire. They ain't the best but maybe it will help.
