Greetings!

http://www.sargentcycle.com/BikeWeek05.htm

Sargent Cycle is having an open house at their headquarters in Jacksonville during Bike Week, March 7 - 14, 2005, Monday - Friday 9:00 - 5:00, Saturday, Sunday 10:00 - 6:00. They will be discounting the products & paying for the sales tax and return shipping of your stock seat.

Been thinking about getting a seat from them for my ST1300. This seems like a good time to try out the seat before purchasing it. They also make a lot of other products for motorcycles.

Will be riding up there from Tampa this Monday morning, probably get there around 1pm. If anyone else is gonna be in the area, would love to meet with ya either at the Open House and/or for lunch :)

Rode up to the Open House today in Jacksonville from Tampa, about 3 hours riding time one way.

They didn't have a completed seat, but they did have the seat pan with the foam in it, as well as the loose covers. They let me try the uncompleted seat on my ST and sorta stretch the cover over it to see how it looks, also sat on it.

They hadn't seen the '05 ST1300 Red color before, so the Sargent guy took out a bunch of swatches and we started trying to match colors for the welts/piping. The red paint on the ST1300 changes character depending on the light and the angle it is viewed at, so when a swatch would match in one spot it would look odd in another. The Silver they use is a very close match to the silver of the grab bars. They had a cover with the silver welts/piping on it, so we stretched that over the seat and it looked pretty good.

Sitting on it in the parking lot felt good as well.

So, I ordered one with silver welts/piping and the CarbonFX surface, should be delivered sometime next week :)

Try here www.motoemporium.com , they made a quote for me 526,95$+ shipping (about 62$) for Canada. I dont know the shipping rate for U.S.A. I decide to go with partmonster, 549,95$+35$ for shipping. I save 3$
