Someone needs to beat this guy for wasteful spending and bogging down the legal system.

State legislators can be a spooky lot. It appears to be no different north of the border. (Kansas border, that is.) I guess the "N" on those ballcaps does stand for "knowledge." We'll offer Sink political asylum if need be.

D-oh! The guy is trying to make a point! Tort law in the US needs a major overhaul. Don't expect it to happen until Medicare and Social Security are fixed, i.e. NEVER!

Hey, people have tried to sue the devil, so why not God? One case was booted because the plaintiff failed to establish that the devil did not reside or do business in the area where the court had jurisdiction.

Thanks for the political asylum, Roger!
I know he is trying to make a point. He is known for his way out ideas. Most of them are laughed at. Not many points made.
I wonder if the defendant will show?

This just in....God has turned the matter over to the top legal team in the afterlife, Lucifer Pluto & Iblis PC, 666 Strange Bedfellows Street, Basement Suite, Hades 00000. The firm's press secretary, Lilith Mephistopheles, said at a new conference, "The Almighty is naturally taken aback at this baseless attack and will fight vigorously to reclaim His good name and reputation. If he's not careful, the state senator from Nebraska may find a plague of locusts upon the house of Chambers." God was unavailable for comment.

I did read the article about this on CNN. The guy is trying to demonstrate exactly how messed up civil courts are. While I may not agree with his mehtods, I certainly agree with his intention. I firmly beleive that the courts are overdue for some major revamping.
Just so the locusts stay in Chamber's own house... it's fine! We are harvesting corn right now:wink:

Would be kind of funny if someone resembling George Burns showed up to represent himself.
Bailiff- "Do you swear to tell the truth?"
Plaintiff- "I do, so help me, me":crackup

Some guy did the same thing in the Netherlands (Europe, somewhere) claiming God had not fullfilled his promise of a happy life. The courts threw it out claiming God is not a natural person or corportion and therefore not subject to the laws of man. Goofy, but the upside is that no court in the Netherlands will ever allow such a case to be filed since the legal system has a precedence that says their courts have no jursdiction over God!
