OK!!! All Right!!! I am making it "Offical"!!!

The FIRST,,, EVER,,, Moonshine Lunch Run will be on April 2nd... The rain date will be April 9th as a fall back option...

WHAT!?!?! You say,,, you never heard of Moonshine Illinois!!! Well,,, you are in a big need to get there then!!! Best Hamburgers this side of the Milky Way... The town has a population of,,,,,,, 2... They will sell about 400 - 500 hamburgers on a really good day and 200 on a bad day... It is an old time country store that has been there for EVER!!! It has been on every local TV Station/Paper and also St Louis/Chicago/Indianapolis TV and also the Newspapers of those fine cities...

But wait,,, There Is More!!!

Just last year it was featured on "CBS Sunday Morning" TOO!!! And,,, THEY had a heck of a time getting there without my help!!!

Where is Moonshine??? Well,,, being that I am a "Local" and go there about every week it is easier to show you,,, than tell you... Honestly,,, GPS can't even get you to Moonshine Illinois!!! Well,,, it might but you will end up on a gravel road and having to stop and ask someone on a tractor how to get there so,,, save face and just let me take you...

My plan is to have everyone come by my house and we will leave from here no later than 11:15 am... You can start showing up anytime after 8 am April 2nd... (((Hey,,, it is a Saturday and I might sleep in)))

I have a BIG shop,,, lots of chairs,,, and free drinks and snacks as long as it is Cola you are drinking...

Prizes??? Did someone say Prizes!?!?!?!?

Door prizes for the farthest away will be given away...

But WAIT,,, There Is MORE!!!

Everyone that makes the trip I will buy their drink and dessert at Moonshine too!!!

:::::limited to the first 300 people,,, void in west virginia:::::

So,,, get yourself to Casey Illinois... There is only one traffic light in town and it is in downtown Casey... It is at the intersection of Rt 49 and OLD Rt 40... Turn east on Old Rt 40 and go till you see 4th street and start watching... It is just 4 blocks from Downtown... Continue till you can see 5th street as we set on the North West corner of Rt 40 and 5th street and we are the BIG brick 2 story home with a shop on the extra lot... My address is REALLY 410 East Main St but on the Map below it shows us as really living at 490 East Main St... ????? 100 years ago SOMEBODY screwed up the house #'s is all I can say...

http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?searchtype=address&country=US&addtohistory=&searchtab=home&address=490+East+Main+St&city=Casey&state=IL&zipcode=62420

So,,, GET YOURSELF READY FOR A MOONSHINE RUN!!!

Phone # Cell phone is 217-232-2462

Later!!!

Super glad to see you are coming Putt!!!

We have some Connie riders coming as well!!! One guy says he lives 3 hours away so,,, as of this minute,,, you still hold the best shot at the "Door Prize" for being farthest away unless he drives REALLY fast that is!!! :D

I am heading out tomorrow for 7 days with "The Lovely Cindy" and going to the Grand Canyon for 5 days where a bunch of family are riding Mules to the bottom and staying for a few days down there...

Me??? Well,,, you have to weigh in at 200 pounds or less,,, DRESSED,,, and my "Tub of Goo" body will be about 10 pounds over the limit,,, NUDE!!! And,,, they have rules about riding a mule nude they say... So,,, me and another brother-n-law are walking down,,, again... This will be my 8th time hiking it... This all can be blamed on "Little Debbie" Snack cakes!!!

I will check in on this thread when I get back but PLEASE,,,keeping talking it up while I am gone and EVERYONE,,, get ready for the,,,

Moonshine Run!!!

According to mapquest, it is 1937 mile from my house. My wife already thinks that a 400 mile ride for a burger, frys and a Pepsi is insane...she would probably have me locked up for this burger. But then again, it is only 1537 further for the best burger this side of the milky way. :)

Enjoy

Too Cool Rocket!!!

Might even have this ride Semi Annual... :) Might just do this before the harvest season hits this early fall/late summer too... We will have to see but will let you know... And,,, we have an extra bed here and a nice hotel in town too!!! I hear,,, they even have them there "Jacuzzi Rooms" too!!! :D

STony~~~

Well,,, I would HAVE,,, to agree with her STony,,, IF,,, it was like 3000 miles away but,,, it IS,,, within the limits set forth as to how far the best Hamburger this side of the Milky Way is WORTH,,, riding for!!!

And,,, you can show her that you are almost,,, ASSURED,,, of winning the Door Prize as to the farthest person to come would be!!! AND,,, I will not tell you what the door prize is but,,, it is growing in value as people are telling me they are coming from so far away... I have to increase the door prize value as the miles keep getting larger you see... ;)

Plus!!! You are getting your drink and dessert paided for too at Moonshine,,, and snacks at my house with all the cola you can drink!!! I think THESE POINTS,,, will sway her towards her DEMANDING,,, you go to Moonshine!!! :D

I Survived the Grand Canyon Hike,,, AGAIN!!!

I hiked a total of 32 miles over 3 days,,, and a elevation change of over 4500 ft down and back...

This "Tub of Goo" is NOT,,, in that great of shape,,, but,,, as stated,,, I DID,,, survive... ;)

Anyway,,, ONWARD towards the Moonshine Run!!!

And,,, all you guys that are like 1097 miles away and can't make it on April 2nd??? You have my cell #,,, and my address... If I am around I can be talked into a private trip to Moonshine anytime your in the area but,,, you won't have all the cool People/Bikes to visit with as the ones that are showing up on April 2nd so,,, remember that!!!

OOOHHH!!!

And,,, I forgot,,, this is a little peak at an old outdated web site from Clark County that needs updated very bad but,,, still,,, it gets you a little peek at the Town/Store where we are going... The "average" amount of "Moonburgers" on a normal day is around 100-200... But,,, on Weekends,,, that can climb up to over 400-500!!!

Not Bad for a town with a population of 2!!!

Moonshine!!! (http://www.clarkcountyil.org/Communities/moonshine.htm)

I just picked up on this thread. I don't know how I missed it earlier. IF I can get my bike put back together I will make it a plan. I have to be in MN for the first three days of the next week so it could be tight. (And anyway, Putt has got me by almost 50 miles ... )

Too Cool Seisman!!!

My plan is to leave my house at 11:30 am for Moonshine... I am planning on having a person be a "Trailer" as in,,, sticking around till right at about 12:00 to leave my drive so,,, just in case someone is running late...

Hope you can make it!!! If your going to be late just give me a call and I will help you out any way I can... I can even order your Hamburger for you since the Grill goes off at exactly,,, E X A C T L Y,,, I say,,, 12:30 pm,,, SHARP,,, and the doors close at 1:00 pm,,, you guessed it,,, sharp!!!

The rest of the day I will let the group decide what is planned... If they want to ride I will give them a tour and a ride on some of the best roads around here... If everyone needs to head out for home,,, that is fine too... But,,, if anyone sticks around they are welcome at our house all day... And,,, can even get together for a meal that night at a really good place to eat just 1 mile from my house... Richards Farm Restaurant,,, or some other places too...

It is going to be fun!!! :biker:

2 ST 1300 riders showed up in my drive today at about 3 pm!!!

They are from Moline Illinois,,, and Iowa!!!

(((Putt and Nyener)))

We stood around for a good 2 hours looking at each others bikes,,, swapping stories and sharing some laughs... Great guys!!!

Then took them out to a local Restaurant where we pigged out!!! But,,, sadly for both Putt and Nyener,,, Squirrel was not on the menu so,,, a drive to Olney might be warranted tomorrow... :D

It has stopped raining here,,, tomorrow it is SUPPOSE to be a nice day so,,, COME ON DOWN/UP/OVER!!!

I want to say thanks to Terry for getting this going and offering the hospitality. :clap2: A most gracious host. I am just sorry I couldn't have made it earlier to hang out in the shed. And, thanks again for leaving someone behind to see that I found the way. 250 miles for a hamburger beats my personal best of 200 miles for a cup of coffee (each way).

SteveST1300~~~

Funding is be acquired as I peck this out for next years,,,

Moonshine Lunch Run Part 2!!!

and I do hope to maybe have another this fall!!!

Only rub against fall is,,, I usually have a 20 day trip on Motorcycle I will just be coming back from just PRIOR,,, to starting Harvest on the farm... Doesn't allow me much time to spend the $$$$$ on advertising,,, you see...

Though,,, having it around the end/middle of October might be a possibility as Harvest will be complete,,, hopefully that is...

Just know all you have to do is Ping me,,, and I can provide a personnel tour since I am,,, THE

"Grand Marshall of Moonshine!!!
