My goal.... Meet the East Coast ST-Owners that I've been reading about since May of 2005.

The Result... I was welcomed with hugs  (must be a New England thing), and treated like family. I finally met what I consider to be the most colorful "cast of characters" on the site, and had a wonderful time!

The Ride... I left Thursday and returned Monday, riding thru WI, IL, IN, MI, Canada (Stopped at Niagara Falls), NY, VT, NH, Maine, Mass, RI, CT (Stayed 2 nights at CT STOC) NY again (This time to visit the Statue of Liberty) NJ, DE, MD, (side trip thru DC to stop at the Washington Monument), VA, WV, Penn, OH, and then finally re-rode thru IN and Ill (Chicago rush hour and road construction sucked) before returning to Wisconsin. Almost 3000 miles. It was a pleasure to ride over 2000 of those miles with Wannabe2... (Dan M from the UP of Michigan, who met me at the Canadian border, and returned w/ me thru Ohio) Thanks Dan!

The Pics... I posted my highlights here (http://www.flickr.com/gp/13721271@N08/jK3U42)... Dan PM me w/ your address and I'll mail you all 150.

Steve, sure glad you had such a good time man, sorry I missed you... Daddy duty details and both bikes in maint. cycles made it problematic, and the head colds we ended up with end of last week would have scrubbed us even if we kept the plan to try and pull it off. I wouldn't have added any to the 'color' anyway ;) . Maybe next year at NNESTOC, or another :D

I'm a little upset you didn't let me know when you were in the Md/Dc area I would have treated for lunch or dinner ! Sorry to have missed you !

Steve, I think they were just frisking you for weapons!:D

Glad to hear you made it back. I thought I saw you last Saturday morning out in Germantown but it must have been somebody else with a 2005 wearing a white helmet.

It was a great pleasure to meet you, Steve. You added color to our colorful bunch. Glad you had such a good time. Sounds like your ride home with Dan was a lot of fun.

P.S. to Scooter: We didn't find any weapons on Steve...just a pipe wrench. ;-)

Gene... It took so long to cover so few miles from CT to DC (The New York side trip didn't help) that we absolutely had no time to stop. I promise that the next time I visit DC, either by car or bike, I'll set something up w/ you ahead of time!

Steve, it was a pleasure having you and Dan join us at CT-STOC. It was also great talking to one of the original members from the time this site had a small membership. BTW, that hug thing- where do you want me to send the empty wallet??

Send it to me, John. I'll put it with his pipe wrench. Then all we need to do is figure out who got his soldering torch and we'll have the complete set.
