Good Morning, Danny!

Good coffee, the biscuit sounds good today, too.

64º and 98º for today, just about perfect. A great day to go ride!

Great conversation last night thou I didn't stay too long! 48 here in the lower part of the state this A.M. dannyk! Lotsa sunshine and low 70's I believe! Got my coffee and ready to go!

Mark asked what I was going to work on this weekend! Same ol project, the new used deck! Here's a couple pics! These are after some modifications that I already made.
23330233312333223333

Here is the step before and after mods.:
2333423335

Here I added the supports for the latic, the latic panels I built and the installed result on one end.
233362333723338

With all the interuptions I've been dealing with, I may never get this done! I was going to get it completely assembled and ready for power wash and sealer this weekend but my son is in the Niles Apple Festival parade which tends to be about 2 hours long. Gotta get there about 2 hours before to get a good seat. There goes the better part of my day!:(

Anyway, is there enough interest for me to keep posting updated pics?

Have a great day all!!!

O.K. here's the skinny on cardamon.
Cardamom has a strong, unique taste, with an intensely aromatic fragrance. It is a common ingredient in Indian cooking, and is often used in baking in Nordic countries. One of the most expensive spices by weight, little is needed to impart the flavour.
Cardamon (or cardamon), the dried fruit of a plant of the ginger family, is the world's second-most-precious spice. It yields not more than 250 pounds of pods per acre and these capsules must be snipped from the plant with scissors. The pods are the size of a large pea and each contains from 17 to 20 tiiny aromatic black seeds.

Cardamon Seed is native to India and a favorite in that country. Vikings discovered it in their travels a thousand years ago; that is why it has been a preferred spice in Scandinavian dishes for many centuries and why all genuine Danish pastry carries the faint aroma of Cardamon. :biker:

Unbelievable~!:hat1:

Almost forgot to share the :doh1: moment I had this a.m.

I'm riding in this a.m. freezing my a** off and thinking "Unbelievable!:o4: This new Cordura jacket isn't near as warm as my leather! What gives?" Yes I just bought a cheap off brand mesh jacket (Xelement brand) that has thinsulate and halfway decent armour. I couldn't believe how dang cold it was compared to my leather. I knew it wouldn't be quite as warm as the leather but this was ridiculous! Then...:doh1: I had all the vents unzipped! Stopped the bike and zipped em up! Wa-La! Much much better! Still a tad chilly but that might be because I was already freezing!

Hey dannyk, what about the egkvist donuts? What are those? Thanks in advance!

(Must have been doofus day at my house this morning!)

Coffee is great.
The day is beautiful; but, make sure you get out and check out that harvest moon (which was full last night)!

That deck look like work! I think I'll stay in AZ! :)

Thanks Danny: Cardamon is also used in spiced beers in *very* small amounts this gives winter warming beers (i.e.; highly alcoholic) a special and interesting nose. I might have to find one of my old recipes...

Congratulations Tom on figuring out that zipping zippers does have a warming effect! :)

Ride safe,
Mark

When ever my Dad did plumbing when I was a kid, well...lets just say, everyone else left for the day!!! Guess I'm the same way!

Top of the morning all...

MMmmMM biscuits!

Hey Unbeliever, the deck project is looking good. Hard to believe how hard actually finishing one of these projects is compared to how easy it seemed during the planing stages... I have been working on this simple shade project for 2 weeks now... Been priming & painting raw wood every night this week. Digging footings. Welding up load bearing brackets, yada, yada, yada... Never dreamed I would loose 3 or 4 weekends of prime riding weather to a shade project, but shade is a good thing in Arizona. At least I can ride to work today and park the bike in front of my office window & look at it all day :(

Y'all ride safe & have a great day.

:crackup :crackup :crackup LOL!!! UNBELIEVABLE!:hat1: I know just what you mean! When my in-laws first mentioned giving us their old deck, I thought; Oh just a weekend or two and I'll have this baby ready to party on! :doh1: What was I thinking? Should have pulled a Mr. Scott on it and multiplied my time estimate by four or more!

Your project is looking fantastic! Post the finished product if you would! I'd like to see it!! Thanks for the empathy!!:-D

Mornin! I'm late AGAIN! Donuts and biscits are gone... :-( Oh well, coffee's fresh!

55 grey and damp on the ride in. I take my 8yr old daughter bout 1/2mile to the bus (she has to hustle to get the gear off and put away!) then it's off to work.

Dang bus was 15min late this a.m.

Yea, it's amazing how much air those lil zippers will let in!

Tom, if I remember right it was just off 94 exit 12 I think, go west to RAH and turn left it was just down on the right side. been many years so the memory is kinda cloudy. One of my pheasant hunting partners was the township supervisor for sodus township before his un-timely death. Spent lots of saturday afternoons watching salmon in the pipestone creek and fishing on the St Joe river behind Ron's place with a camp fire and a couple of brews. :biker:

Now this is what I'm talking about! A real coffee Klatch with 14 different conversations going on at once.

Our local one of a kind Italian place uses Cardamon on it's "works" pizza. Verrry interesting taste and aroma..

Nice looking deck, Tom. I remember the olden days when I had a deck (or 2 or 3) to maintain and keep up:) I had a lawnmower then, too! And glad you got a SToc #. too!

So, no riding for Bob this weekend, either? Didn't want to torture you with the Julian ride last weekend:) Ray's getting ready for a little surgery on his throttle hand, could be out of action a week or so...course when he broke that wrist, it was less than 2 weeks...

Yahoo. Good morning to you all.
