View Full Version : We be Jamming!
How would you like to have one of these jammers (http://gadget.brando.com.hk/prod_detail.php?prod_id=00493). Of course only used while you're being cut off by the BDC talking on the phone!
30 ft radius... that would do it too...
I wonder if you could set it to be "on" all the time...
Yeah I know... the FCC would *really* take offense and they don't mess around when they find someone transmitting illegally.

Having worked in Telco for the last 20yrs and I had a Cellular stint for 8yr of that time,
I can say the FCC would want your BUTT!
But hard to triangulate a fast moving ST ;) :D lol
Mac, as far as I know LEO radios do not use cellular networks; different freqs.
EJ, hand held, little bigger than a pack of cigarettes from what it looked like in the picture.
Killer, I agree *completely* about the FCC being major ticked off.
But disagree that is hard to track a moving vehicle ... the hams at mot helped track down a car that was broadcasting on the airport freqs when I worked at motorola.. Those guys were good and they will *always* rise to the challenge of *getting* someone when given the challenge by law enforcement. Real radio guru geeks! :)

Chances are the BDC's would be even more distracted trying to work out why their precious little phone has stopped working and why they can't keep spouting irrelevant bollocks to the BDC on the other end of the call.

I know some of the local Hams Mark,
They do a month game of fox and hound where they do just that find a signal.
That is why I said "fast" moving ST lol!

If the jammer is a spread spectrum critter and doesn't just put out broadband noise, DFing it is a lot harder to do than for FM or AM.
